This is probably Radiohead's worst song. But i was watching Glastonbury coverage on the BBC today, watching Two Door Cinema Club and just think "This is the dullest, most benign music ever"... This song doesn't give me that feeling, it still grabs you. What happened to all the good crap music? (Note that i think Radiohead are the best band ever, it's just this song..)

Still, if I had listened to Pablo Honey at the time of its release and then The Bends a few years later I would have gone all "WTF! When did these guys become so immensely talented, how did they do it so quick!". The distance in quality between the two recordings is just incredible... the only hint of The Bends in PH is Blow Out, and maaaaaybe You!

Wow didn't think I would get so much negative feedback for that. I love radiohead's music. It was really just an honest question. And degree7, yeah Let Down has a lot of layers and textured parts, I don't know if you could do it with two guitars, but i think it's probably possible. Also the poor guy plays extreme second fiddle to Tom and Johnny. I wouldn't want to live in that shadow.

I started with Hail To The Thief the summer it came out, then worked my way up with The Bends, spending very little time with Pablo Honey. I'd suggest that you work with Radiohead chronologically; it will really help you appreciate the incredible path that they took.
