Personally, I thought 2007 was a very weak year. From a lady like Edsilia you'd expect a lot more than this. She should've known this song wasn't going to make it to the final. The lyrics are awful and the music itself sounds rather flat. Back in 1998 she had a much better song, a song that still sounds modern. This one however, was already outdated when it just came out. Such a shame our recent entries all suck. Our last proper entry was back in 2000, although Sieneke wasn't that bad after all.

@soccersj93 I didn't Sieneke's song isn't outdated. Both songs are totally incomparable though. Sieneke's song is a typical Dutch song that didn't stand a chance at the ESC. I thought her song was kind of cute, although I completely understood why it didn't make it to the final. But to be honest, I think Edsilia's song is as a matter of fact more outdated than Sieneke's. Sieneke's song is rather cultural, something people from abroad might not understand and therefore think it's old fashioned.

@soccersj93 Well, I guess our opinions differ. :) This song could've been made in -let's say- 1995, it isn't innovative at all, and especially in 2007 she should've come up with something more refreshing than this (she only sang it because her husband wrote it). The melody might be catchy, but the music is, as I already said in a previous post, flat and the lyrics are even more childish than Sieneke's "Ik ben verliefd". This is just a moderate pop tune, there are millions of songs like these.

I think evrybody thought this song was good, but not good enough to vote for. To make people vote for a song it has to have x-factor. Something that makes people incapable not to vote for it.

It's always like this. The Netherlands often send good songs (except the last two years) but never pass the semi-final. After the contest, people from other countries say: 'What a pity that they didn't reach the final'. Hopefully, this year's contribution is going to make an end of that trend.

The Eurovision songcontest used to be fun, but not any more.

No Live orchestra anymore, weird songs and singers, more and more naked ppl, and ofcourse the everlesting "You're the country next to mine so you get my vote". I say, back to an independant jury!! No more televoting!!

The last five years the Netherlands gave 8, 10 or 12 points to Turkey and tha last years also to Armenia!

It's not the song, it's the show. Every time both belgium and the netherlands come with good song, but bad stageplay, poor costume, and overall, stuff that just doesn't match the efforts the others put in it. We should really try just a bit harder!

Iedere keer als ik het weer zie denk ik ook, Edsilia had in de finale moeten zitten.

Jammer dat Nederland steeds weer mee doet. Ze hadden al moeten stoppen toen Esther Hart zn belachlijke lage plaats behaalde.
