its its just... don't worry people. its just how Arabs speak English..very good attempt. Well Sami is comparatively better speaker than the Arabs i so far have met..
@Aquarias91 lol tell me what you find weird about it ? salafie dont belive loving your wife is haram, where you get this from ? the word salafi mean those that follow the salaf ( first 3 generations of muslim) those that understand islam correctly as the meet the prophet of the sahaba (companions of the prophet )
dude when peoples can promote is Islam then don't say anything .i m really tired of people saying that semi yusuf is doing bad but listen he wants to promote Islam ur guys r not promoting so u guys dosent have any rite to say any thing about him .
@qq123456789ize promote islam in thee correct way the way the prophet did, did the prophet or sahbah sing and dance to promote islam, haram is haram we cant make something hallal because we think it has benefits, we are following the way of the jews, making haram into hallal FEAR ALLAH
“In my Ummah there will be people who allow fornication (zina), silk (for men). Wine and musical instruments.” Our Prophets words! Stop trying to change it around saying “ music is good if you use in a good way” NO. Our Prophet (s.a.v) has named it haram for a reason!
i dont believe music is haram. music is all around us, in nature, in instruments. i know what verse scholars refer to, and they r human and not perfect and they might get it wrong.
@anezis Music is haram. And by making excuses for it not being haram you are doing an even more haram thing. Just admitt that you are doing something haram nobody judges you.
@massimo38 Prophet muhammad made it haram for a reason, and by making exucses for it you are doing something more haram than listing to it. If you cannot stop listening to music than admit that you weak and listen to it. No one cares what your points are Haram=Haram. :@ weak muslims make me angry im sorry if i came on to strong
our phrophet PBUH said: (In My Ummah there will be people who allow fornication/ Adultery( Zina), Silk (for men), wine and musical instrument( Ma'aazif). sahih Al Bukhari. where Islam says music is allowed? is samy yousif muslim? why is he bringing budha in Islam, this is not just a sin this is budiha! in my Ummah means in Muslims!! so wake up brothers and sisters ONLY nasheed is allowed.
We should make du'a for our brother, instead of insulting him. Perhaps he has many good qualities that Allah loves, perhaps he is better than ourselves. Are you free from sin, do you not wish for guidance? Perhaps in his heart he knows he is wrong and that the scholars are right, he even said he's "not really clued up". He has weaknesses like we do, may Allah guide us all and allow us to be humble and to pray for our misguided brothers and sisters insteaded of criticising them, Ameen.
@wobblydangly I don't know the historical reason for it however they do still have executioners in Saudi Arabia who behead people by sword. And apparently by some cruel twist the creator of the universe is ok with that but Beethoven was evil for playing the piano?
None of the hadiths attributed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is valid as evidence on the judgment of prohibition. Moreover, all these hadiths are declared ‘weak' by the followers of Ibn Hazm, Malik, Ibn Hanbal, and Ash-Shafi`i. In his book, Al-Ahkam , Al-Qadi Abu Bakr Ibn Al-`Arabi says, “None of the hadiths maintaining that singing is prohibited are considered authentic (by the scholars of the Science of Hadith Methodology).
There are some authentic hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)reported by Al-Bukhari that proof singing is allowed.
Singing is no more than melodious words; if these are good, singing is considered good; but if they are bad, such singing is deemed bad. Talk that contains forbidden content is also prohibited. the religious texts that stand as a basis for those who maintain that singing is haram are either ambiguous or inauthentic.
@zzztrrr2 Salam Alaikum Warahmatuallah Wabarakatu my brother, watch the video I recommended in my other comment for the evidences in the Quran, sunnah and hadeeths as to whether music is haraam or not.
@MrHeadshotprince@4rcher91@kakitembak23@princejaa and anyone else who is unsure about the Islamic views on music I advise you to watch this video by Abu Mussab -he adresses the issue about music and inshallah everything will be clear to you. The title starts with 'The Classical Hit, It's Bad!'
It has clear evidences from the Quran for those of you who want it, from the authentic hadeeths and from the Sunnah about how music and nasheeds are haram
@ObedienceToAllah Thank you for the video recommendation. This would become a handy source of information for present and future reference. Of course, the real source would be the Quran itself. Peace be upon you brother. May Allah grants us all guidance. Inshallah. Thanks again.
His response should be, yes i admit that it is against islamic teachings to use musical instruments but i am trying to promote islam to an audience that understands musical language and i ask allah to forgive me for using this way and reward my intentions. But i see he is getting defensive. He is a good guy though, may allah reward him
its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its its JUST
@princejaa music is entertainment but should handle with precaution because it can make you unconciously lazy and make you forget the ibadah things in islam we can still have fun please be polite my friend
@kakitembak23 ohh my friend. please choice ur words carefully when you talk about islam. Music is Haram. period. as the hadith states " Music is the weapon of shaitan" dont make something that is clearly haram, to halal. dont let the shaitan astray you my friend. inshallah may allah guied us to his path.
@cryptickilla7@MrHeadshotprince Okay, so the rules have been laid out. So the Quran and Hadith have been clear to us all. So the Muftis have told us about the right thing. But we still listen to music, yes? We still see many Muslim artists and singers.
This is where we rest upon Allah on last resort, that what we are doing could be forgiven by Him. That He would grant us all understanding. Insha'Allah. By this I can sum up, only Allah knows the best about everything than others. Get me now? Ok
@4rcher91 Allah knows best no doubt but his commandments are clear...ur way of think shouldent be ohh he will forgive so it doesnt matter if i do this and it shouldent be oh i have committed this is sin im already going to hell theres no point..... its should be both at the same time if u get what im sayin....
@MrHeadshotprince True my friend. Ideally and supposedly, that is how Muslims should think and behave. But humans are not perfect. Allah understands that we are all created with inconsistencies, impurities and defects in and out. He grants us desire, to allow us to enjoy certain things, as long as you obey certain law. Allah allows us to marry a girl. He allows us to listen to music too, as long as it complies with the criteria. And I know, you yourself personally love listening to Eminem...
@4rcher91 we arent close to perfect and we are allowed to enjoy certain things but music is not one of them think of it this way music is wine and the message inside is zamzam water now if u put the zamzam water inside the wine does it become halal?
bukhari volume 7, book 69 number494v: what does the prophet say he clearly said that people are going to consider this lawful when its not and guys looook at his intention his intention is wealth and not what he just lied i hope this helps
bukhari volume 7, book 69 number494v: what does the prophet say he clearly said that people are going to consider this lawful when its not and guys looook at his intention his intention is wealth and not what he just lied i hope this helps
Muslim is divided, there's modern Muslims such as Sami Yusuf and most of Muslim, but also there's a orthodox Muslims like Wahhabi and Salafi who forbid almost everything, talk about Extremism or Fundamentalism, is not came from both of them, but from Khawarij (less than 1% from entire Muslims population) khawarij is a death cult who think "everybody who against me must be killed, even they're Muslim too" and this death cult already exist since Prophet Muhammad times.
I honestly feel like his music keeps me away from all evil. Wallahi, the first time i heard his song "Asmaa Allah" I cried my eyes out. The shivers that ran across my body was tremendous. I use to listen to other songs that gave me the urge to do bad things. But when i turn to Sami Yusuf i start to appreciate everything that I have. Especially when i heard his english version of "My Mother" I literally went up to my mom and gave her the biggest hug. I'm 16, my brothers use to deal at this age :/
ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ITS ..............................
Musical Instruments are HARAM in Islam. No argument, but Astaghfirlah alot of us still listen to music so it is better to listen to him than rap music. But my dear brothers and sisters, never REJECT that it is haram, that is Kufir, just say i am weak, that means you are a believer and your have a bad habit, may Allah grant us understanding.
@MrRaggamuffin1..sir what you believe is a pure SUPERSTITION...one is not weak bwecause they listen to music. Music is a science. Reflects the movement of the planets and the stars across the universe. Everything in life is related to harmony of motion. Nothing is haram except FAWAHISH. If you don't understand Arabic Fawahish is that which is disgrceful or undermines the dignity of a human being. Again your belief (and whatever Ulama who teach it) about music is pure superstition
@sonwamac Bro first of all singing in itself without musical instruments is not haram but the effect musical instruments like todays hip hop music has on people is evident clear to see that it is misguiding so many of our youth. The shaytaan that can make ur waist line move to the beat is the same shaytaan that can make you commit adultury and fornication. There is no superstition in Islam, the Sunnah is Divine Revelation, it is from our Maker, follow that and we are on the right path
@IslamIstheWayforMe There is one instrument called the Daff that the girls would play and sing on days of Eid during the time of Rasullulah( saw) and he allowed them. So yes this is something that some scholars have said is Halal but wind instruments and these digital beats we hear now, may Allah protect us they are no good for humanity look at the clubs and bars. I listen to music but as i said i am still strengthening my Iman and Inshallah one day i can leave this habit.
@MrRaggamuffin1 yes yes, back then in the desert, they had the biggest orchestras. and because of the music, people suffered and died ... so u r right, it is absolutely haram. go and f*** yourself and the 14 people who agree with u.
@silicium555 I dont know why the cursing but may the Almighty guide me and you that we may follow the right path and may He forgive us our short comings.
Salaam Actually the words may be okay but musical instruments are not acceptable Only the daff is allowed and this is a very simple sort of thing that is beaten with the hands Sami Yusuf has a WHOLE BAND Shaitaan whispers to us and what he says may seem okay but the vast majority of it is disobedience to Allah. Shaitaan chips away at our Imaan with what appears to be halaal and eventually he leads us totally astray This is the way of the wily devil As Muslims we need to educate ourselves in Deen
Also, I have a theory why music is a conflict issue within Islam. Because in the perspective of Islam, music especially during pre-Islamic times (Jahiliyah) has always been associated with prostitution, alcoholism, and so on. That is logical. I mean we can still see these things happening today inside nightclubs. Am I right?
But do not worry. If the music is indeed truthful, honest and not related to any sinful act, then I'd say music is okay with Islam.
@4rcher91 if so then answer this in the times of the shabaas they had instruments as well but only duff was made permissible the fact that you say music is halal goes against various hadithes.dont put a question mark where allah puts a period.....
@MrHeadshotprince I've heard it so many times. About musical instruments and music in general being regarded as forbidden from the times of the Sahaba. I never reject that. In fact, I believe in every Prophet's word. Neither I question what Allah wants us do.
I've never officially approved/mandated that music is 100% Halal. Read again about "what I think of...". Whatever I mentioned in my previous comments, are a matter of my OPINION. An opinion might be wrong but it is unintentional in purpose
@4rcher91 what im saying is only muftis have the status of judging between halal and haraam........sami yusufs message behind his nasheeds are all halal but the instruments which are in it are haraam....all im saying sami yusuf can make beautiful nasheeds without musical instruments......
@4rcher91 not halal and haraam and haram that have been mentioned directly...im talking about what you said how my opinion is music is permissible because of so so so im talking bout things like that only muftis can judge cause theyve learned about islam inside and out they know like the back of their hand its takes 10 years to complete a full mufti course...........get what im saying now?
@4rcher91 If no Mufti can judge what is Halal and Haram then what about the prophet Sallallahu alaihi wassalam, the sahaba, the tabi'in, the taba tabai'in and so forth to the scholars present now...You must understand the rulings Muftis and A'lims come up with come from rather the Qur'an or the Sunnah...nothing else...Who is going to Heaven and Hell is determined by Allah and He is the supreme judge in that...In the end, no need to bicker and purchase idle tales for Allah knows best...
@cryptickilla7@MrHeadshotprince I understand your guys' point. What the Muftis and A'lims know all come from true sources (e.g. Quran). Correct. I'm just summing up that, in the end it all boils down from god himself. He is the better judge, the all-knowing. At the end, we rest and pray upon Him that what we do is correct, if you're not sure of certain things. I'm not bickering with this fact. If you fail to understand the general overview, then you disregard an important essence in Islam
@4rcher91 alot of people here are saying that music when it has a right message is halal....that like sayin if you put zamzam water in wine it also becomes halal?
@MrHeadshotprince Something akin to mixing Zamzam water with wine is definitely haram. Yea I agree with you. A lot of people here somewhat believes music is permissible when it has the right message and so on, including myself. Probably because it's hard to avoid music on the planet nowadays, it's just everywhere.
But am just asking, isn't what Sami is singing resembles that of Nasheed? Or a modern form of Nasheed?
@MrHeadshotprince In one of your previous comments, can you explain to me when did any Hadith say about god would transform people into "pigs" and "monkeys" and would remain til the Day of Resurrection? Because it does not really kick-in inside me. If I'm wrong about that, truly forgive me. If you're making up, then you should forgive yourself. Allah knows better. Wallahu a’lam.
NO NO, do not let this issue of music vs Islam get stuck in our mindset. I'm a Muslim, and I think music is not Haram (forbidden), if it contains the right message, lyrics, melody and the right musical instruments. Of course, if the content of music contradicts teaching of Islam, then obviously it IS Haram
What Maher Zain and Sami Yusuf do, is I think, not against Islamic teaching. Keep on spreading the message guys :)
despite of music is haram or not in islam despite of all the not excepted video background or disagreements the man is trying to send a massage here and we all should support him.. its a massage of peace love and respecting each others. why cant we look at the positive side of this and plant the negativism then close our minds !!
are people splitting up our religion further by this kind of debate? so we either take the side that accepts music or doesnt accept music? this kinda stuff is very worrying regarding the 70+ sects of muslims prophesised near the day of judgement...
no muslims. music is haram, because the lyrics take 75% of your memory storage (in your mind). but sami yusuf's music has mostly words and phrases we (as muslims) are familiar with. (la ilaha illallah muhammadur rasoolullah, muhammad is the messenger) we already knw al this. i cant force anything, but i think sami yusuf is a great guy.
I don't care what others say, Sami Yusuf is a great person and musician. He is my role model in life, I love him and his music. His message is so pure and persuading and they, really, give me faith and hope to live. Sami, by the way, thanks for mentioning your motherland Azerbaijan)) We love you, I'm proud that we both are Azerbaijanians)) Thanks for every single music that you've recorded)
i`m just a fifth teen year old boy on a mission to get his voice heard : No money ; No fame ; No popularity. its plain and simple see me as your inner voice. PLEASE : subscribe to my channel ; watch and share my videos HELP ME GET MY VOICE HEARD inshallah brother
All good Muslim should follow things that Muhammed (SAW) did or taught us; also Religion goes as well as the culture and science goes or changes. In some part, music in Islam is not harram, l.
it dependent the way words are formed. Here some examples, first when Mohammed (SAW) arrived to Al Madinah before he build the Mosque, all his people sang, threw flowers and used some instruments for Prophet Mohemmed. second during that time there were no speaker, no carpet, and imper-fire to increase the volume for Prayer. so imagine how expensive the carpet is which we are using in the mosque now, we are using the imper fire to increase the volume, how expensive clothes are,etc....
anyway do you think that we are allowed to use these things and instruments in the Mosque right now.... Some Muslims are being forbidden some things because they don't like them so they want everybody else not to do them to make the Islam Religion difficult. even now There is some books of Quran are already changed.... Muslim people should be more careful for what the sheih are telling...
@kasssylove Hey friend,u r showing mango and saying that orange z sweet.d song sang in those times, is still allowed today & that was daff by children..which were not inside masjid (masjid built after it). There also existed other musical instruments n those time but only daff was allowed.d ruling of Islam will always b same, but only d means change.e.g. people used to ride horses and say dua for traveling, now u r n car & recite dua for traveling..that is d difference only.f n doubt, avoid it.
@checckkd i do agree with u brother, there're not different for wat u js said n wat i said before bt we are talking about now; some Muslims need to understand Science has changed almost everything to make them more easier, and whoeva is saying that singer are using musical instruments so wat's the different btwin the one we using in the Mosque and the one singers are using?. Or may be they are trying to say that it's halal in the Mosque Harram outside the Mosque? we go to pray in the mosque, we
@checckkd We don't go to dance or sing in the mosque, im pretty sure if we were allowed to sing and dance, we would have the same instruments as singers are using.
@kasssylove Hey friend i didnt really get what did u mean by music in masjid.no music is allowed in masjd even d daff which is allowed outside(to the best of my knowledge).f someone is doing this then they r doing wrong and they cannot become a reason to do wrong things.
I m a science student of higher studies.science is just manipulating tools and materials, its not a way of life to live. islam teaches which science has not yet discovered. so how science can effect Islam.
@massimo38: Assalam o Alaikum. Yup, because they were new Muslims. the link u posted is qari abdul basit. the listeners only say "SubhanAllah", which I m sure is okay.
But the important thing is that "DO NOT JUDGE ISLAM BY YOUR THOUGHTS, BUT JUDGE YOUR THOUGHTS BY ISLAM". May Allah give us Hidaya.
A lot of ways to avoid music, but just need your will to do it, Allah will always guide us.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON OF SHAITAN (IBLIS) TO MISGUIDE MUSLIMS AND A LOT OF MUSLIMS THINKS THAT IT IS HALAL, IS LISTENING TO MUSIC "ISLAMIC NASHEED".
Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful.
I am definitely not here to tell you what to do or believe, feel free to do whatever you want, but do not call me an ignorant cause I am very well aware of the beauty of my religion. And again this OF COURSE refers to Soul-inspiring melodies, which do not provoke forbidden thoughts of sin, the song should comply with the Islamic teachings and ethics.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
@coroso136 : yes im aware of it that the word haram is very DANGEROUS. look! i dont think that u really did read all my comments to u. Let me ask u the "grenade by bruno mars" the "skater boy by avril lavigne" the "circus by britney spears" do u think those songs are halal ???????? DEFINITELY NOT !!! those are HARAM!! why ?? wasting ur time listening to that songs doesnt give you any good or useful knowledge about islam.
@sIrAjAnOrjAtA You don´t understand the distinction I am trying to make here! Who is talking about britney spears and all the crap music!? Do you really think I am defending that poisoned industry? NO, I am having it over soul-inspiring melodies, with good words that bring your heart closer to God, like Samis music. Bad music with bad words which do provoke forbidden thoughts of sin one should of course avoid!
@coroso136 : YEAH SAME HERE !! thats what im trying to tell u too !! but then u focus about why it is being HALAL !! the possible is some people will misunderstood u and they will also think that ALL MUSIC is halal !! AND U KNOW WHAT, IF YOUR GONNA SING A SONG "refers to Soul-inspiring melodies, which do not provoke forbidden thoughts of sin, the song should comply with the Islamic teachings and ethics." WHY DONT U JUST READ QUR'AN ?? I THINK MUCH BETTER !! may allah bless us.
@coroso136 : and do u really think that there's no muslim living in that "POISONED INDUSTRY" ??? oh come on !!!! " and listening music with "soul-inspiring melodies, with good words that bring your heart closer to God" WHY DONT U JUST LISTEN TO QUR'AN ????? which is better ?? what do u think ??
@coroso136 : so u think those evidences hadith i showed u is just a guess ?? whims ?? or from a weak hadith ?? or from an old book ?? dude dont be rude, and let me tell u again as i said the songs/composed of Sami Yusuf i think it is halal. y ?? because theres a lot of knowledge u can get from it ABOUT ISLAM, and inside it there is a very touching messages. IN FACE OF THESE FACTS, U DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ME SAYING THAT IM PLAYING WITH THE WORD HARAM. ALLAH KNOWS BEST!! may ALLAH bless us.
Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari that he heard the Prophet saaws saying,
"From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments as lawful....2nd part in the next comment
@coroso136 . And (from them), there will be some who will stay near the side of a mountain, and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and Allah will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection."
@MrHeadshotprince I went to your channel and saw positive comments on music like Eminem and Lupe Fiasco ... You obviously like listening to those kind of music, music that is even not comparable with samis work. And now you come along and claim his songs to be "sinfull"?? Don' t be a hypocrite! "Either act in accordence with the way you look, or look in accordance with the way you act".. Quote by Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi
@coroso136 I never said i dident listen to music buh im not going around saying its permissible also this isent my youtube account matter of fact i dont have one this was my friends .now hears another thing sami yusufs message is not haraam but the music is there are various hadithes on this and there is no muslim scholar that knows thoroughly about islam will say that music is halal now i know sami yusuf is trying to send a good message but cant he do the same thing without the music?
@coroso136 oh my friend. what sami is doing is far worse then what Eminem is doing or what Lupe Fiasco is doing. il let you find out and see what im talking about..
I'm not here to tell people what to do, or what to think. I just want the ones who say that this is haraam to please consider what I am saying. Sami Yusuf is a muslim. Before starting all of this, he must have consulted scholars about music. Let us not draw conclusions about someone's choices. Secondly, music has become a means of communication. Sami is just using it to spread the message of Islam. Is it really that bad? His music isn't noise, it's not rock, rap, nor hip hop.
2 those people that are saying that music is haLaL, do not compare the Qur'an to music. Some are saying that reading a Qur'an is a music too so music is halal. Did u ever heard someone reading a qur'an with a instrumental? i dont think so. Will u call a music without a instrumental? When we are reading qur'an there are intonation to be followed, it is not like reading a book written in english. For me whats halal in Sami Yusuf's songs/composed is the message and the knowledge inside about islam.
what is wrong with u poeple??? do u really rather our kids listen to trash rap with the"F****" in every sentence or listening to sami yusuf???? Think about it this way. then answer!
@rizara100 1stly, I rather our kids listen to Quran recitation or zikr..not to music, especially with forbidden instrument in it..2nd,to 'think about it this way then answer' thing is not what the Prophet(pbuh) taught us to. Muhammad(pbuh) taught us to follow Quran n his teaching, the Sunnah..not thinking with our very limited brain ability, especially in this case..wallahu'alam. Agree with shahnazkabir..n 2gether we should increase our knowledge,insyaAllah..JazakAllahu khair~
@rizara100 As-Salamu Aleikum my brother. Both is haram, because there is instrument in both of them.
I thought like that, but think it this way: It is haram to listen because there is instruments in both of them. And Allah forbid ud against listening instruments.
And i know what you mean no matter what music is in our life "the modern life"i myself dont know what to listen to also and some times i sing"Sami Yusuf:Who is the loved one?" but i suck.
@rizara100 no what's wrong with you? who said "trash rap" was a substitute for sami yusuf? why follow your desires when the sunnah of the prophet says musical instruments are forbidden? why live in denial?
Music is H A R A M period thats it. leave it alone sami. The Prophet of Allah (s.w.t) said listening music puts hipocracy in the heart of the listners. Thats it.
@DIMONDNDIRT Not necessarily Haram. It depends on a given situation. If the music praises about Islam and reminds us about its teachings and good values, then why not? Besides, such music could also appeal to bigger audience and to non-muslims, bringing them closer toward the religion of Islam.
@rizara100 I agree with you because there is a lot of children who don't like Sami's so I mean they are lost. Sami always do his best for us to know Allah and his prophète and I think it's a very good thing. My son of 8 years old love all songs of Sami and I'm proud about the impact he has for children and adults too. God bless you Sami for all what you do for us.
Another deviant Muslim, and to anyone who listens to him and says oh its ok coz he said its halal so i wont get punished... No... there will be people who are thrown into the hellfire for following these deviant people.
Hazrath Anas (R.A.) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “There will certainly be people from my Ummah who will attempt to legalize fornication, the wearing of silk (for males), the consuming of wine and the use of musical instruments”
Let me ask all of you how long can you listen to Quran and how long can you listen to a naseed and ask your self which one of the two you get reward for think about it ...?
Yes music is haram, but as we can see n our modern world now 8 is very common or have been a hobby 2 some pepol (or maybe all of us? ) listening a music. So 4 me Sami Yusuf being a singer and a composer is useful 2, because almost all of da song he compose/sing is very knowledgeable about Islam and da message from it is so touching. And if some doesn't know, there r some Christians converted/accepted Islam after hearing a very touching and knowledgeable music about Islam. :)) ALLAH KNOWS BEST <3
DREAM IN TELL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUEE..(((YO SHOW))) YO ENTERTAINMENT!!! MUST WATCH TO BELIEVE..THE START OF SOMETHING NEW.. HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR..2012 WOO!
please could somebody show me a quote in the Qur'an stating that a musical instrument or sing is haram in islam :) is the ney or reed flute haram , i dont see anybody getting on Rumi's case , leave the man alone if he is not harming or influencing anybody in a bad way , you can see the man has a love in his soul
And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire).
@stephaniewilson100 Ibn Masood (ra) said about this verse "I swear by the One other than Whom there is no God that it refers to singing [ghinaa].", and he repeated this three times. Ibn Abbaas (ra) said it refered to 'singing and the like' while Jaabir (ra) is reported to view its meaning to signify singing and listening to songs. Many taabi'oon such as Mujaahid, Ikrimah, Mak-hool and Umar ibn Shu'ayb viewed it as a censure of music and song.
Sa'id ibn Jbayr reported that Ibn 'Abbas said about the verse: "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks" (31:6), that, "ldle talks means singing and the like."
"And Istafiz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and other call for Allah's disobedience)..."
sami yusuf songs have a mesaage and a good message hez nt talking about anything wrong in his songs he mentions Gand our prophet Muhammed (SAW) so its nt really a song its a nasheed more like
@Privatechannelox dont worry, hes not listening to anyone. none can guide but Allah. like an angel? have you heard an angel? nahh..dont think so habibiti.
LOOOL ya subhanAllah, he sounded like a broken recorder. "its its its its...lullaby...birds...universal..." didnt make one decent sentence. people need to fear Allah and remember they will face Allah Jalla wa3la one day and have to answer for their doings in the dunya. Allahu musta3n
for ur information there is no extremist modern or liberal in ISLAM........Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) sahabas did Poetry... no instrument allowed in Islam.......only voice sound.........pls don't misguide people.......if u study Islam u will know what u can do what u cant.......increase ur Knowledge bro.......Dont present Islam wrongly.....JazakAllah Khair
@shahnazkabir Would you stop damn discussion about this topic?! If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Finish. I guess you're not an Islamic scholar. These people (Sami and Maher) would surely not do what they are doing if they got an answer it's forbidden from the scholars they asked them about. Let just Allah judge each of us.
its its just... don't worry people. its just how Arabs speak English..very good attempt. Well Sami is comparatively better speaker than the Arabs i so far have met..

This is where we rest upon Allah on last resort, that what we are doing could be forgiven by Him. That He would grant us all understanding. Insha'Allah. By this I can sum up, only Allah knows the best about everything than others. Get me now? Ok

4rcher91 2 months ago
@4rcher91 if so then answer this in the times of the shabaas they had instruments as well but only duff was made permissible the fact that you say music is halal goes against various hadithes.dont put a question mark where allah puts a period.....
MrHeadshotprince 1 month ago
@MrHeadshotprince I've heard it so many times. About musical instruments and music in general being regarded as forbidden from the times of the Sahaba. I never reject that. In fact, I believe in every Prophet's word. Neither I question what Allah wants us do.
I've never officially approved/mandated that music is 100% Halal. Read again about "what I think of...". Whatever I mentioned in my previous comments, are a matter of my OPINION. An opinion might be wrong but it is unintentional in purpose

MrHeadshotprince 1 month ago
@MrHeadshotprince No. No Mufti can judge which is Halal or Haram than Allah Himself..
4rcher91 1 month ago
@4rcher91 not halal and haraam and haram that have been mentioned directly...im talking about what you said how my opinion is music is permissible because of so so so im talking bout things like that only muftis can judge cause theyve learned about islam inside and out they know like the back of their hand its takes 10 years to complete a full mufti course...........get what im saying now?
MrHeadshotprince 1 month ago
@4rcher91 If no Mufti can judge what is Halal and Haram then what about the prophet Sallallahu alaihi wassalam, the sahaba, the tabi'in, the taba tabai'in and so forth to the scholars present now...You must understand the rulings Muftis and A'lims come up with come from rather the Qur'an or the Sunnah...nothing else...Who is going to Heaven and Hell is determined by Allah and He is the supreme judge in that...In the end, no need to bicker and purchase idle tales for Allah knows best...
cryptickilla7 1 month ago
@cryptickilla7 @MrHeadshotprince I understand your guys' point.
4rcher91 1 month ago
@4rcher91 alot of people here are saying that music when it has a right message is halal....that like sayin if you put zamzam water in wine it also becomes halal?

@MrHeadshotprince Something akin to mixing Zamzam water with wine is definitely haram. Yea I agree with you.

All good Muslim should follow things that Muhammed (SAW) did or taught us; also Religion goes as well as the culture and science goes or changes. In some part, music in Islam is not harram, l.
kasssylove 2 months ago
it dependent the way words are formed. Here some examples, first when Mohammed (SAW) arrived to Al Madinah before he build the Mosque, all his people sang, threw flowers and used some instruments for Prophet Mohemmed. second during that time there were no speaker, no carpet, and imper-fire to increase the volume for Prayer. so imagine how expensive the carpet is which we are using in the mosque now, we are using the imper fire to increase the volume, how expensive clothes are,etc....
kasssylove 2 months ago
anyway do you think that we are allowed to use these things and instruments in the Mosque right now.... Some Muslims are being forbidden some things because they don't like them so they want everybody else not to do them to make the Islam Religion difficult. even now There is some books of Quran are already changed.... Muslim people should be more careful for what the sheih are telling...
thank you May Allah bless all.

Think about it this way. then answer!
rizara100 2 months ago 22
@rizara100 1stly, I rather our kids listen to Quran recitation or zikr..not to music, especially with forbidden instrument in it..2nd,to 'think about it this way then answer' thing is not what the Prophet(pbuh) taught us to. Muhammad(pbuh) taught us to follow Quran n his teaching, the Sunnah..not thinking with our very limited brain ability, especially in this case..wallahu'alam. Agree with shahnazkabir..n 2gether we should increase our knowledge,insyaAllah..JazakAllahu khair~
MrSurgeon21 2 months ago
@rizara100 As-Salamu Aleikum my brother. Both is haram, because there is instrument in both of them.
I thought like that, but think it this way: It is haram to listen because there is instruments in both of them. And Allah forbid ud against listening instruments.
And i know what you mean no matter what music is in our life "the modern life"i myself dont know what to listen to also and some times i sing"Sami Yusuf:Who is the loved one?" but i suck.
follow the right path As-Salamu Aleikum

@rizara100 both are wrong and both are sinfull one more than the other

@rizara100
There's no rationalizing in the deen. Either you are doing something good or bad. According to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
There's your thought..
MuslimVlogGuy 2 months ago
@rizara100 no what's wrong with you? who said "trash rap" was a substitute for sami yusuf? why follow your desires when the sunnah of the prophet says musical instruments are forbidden? why live in denial?
CGJUGO80 2 months ago 4
Music is H A R A M period thats it. leave it alone sami. The Prophet of Allah (s.w.t) said listening music puts hipocracy in the heart of the listners. Thats it.
DIMONDNDIRT 2 months ago

@stephaniewilson100 The Noble Qur'an - Luqman 31:6
12345jl05 2 months ago
@stephaniewilson100 Ibn Masood (ra) said about this verse "I swear by the One other than Whom there is no God that it refers to singing [ghinaa].", and he repeated this three times. Ibn Abbaas (ra) said it refered to 'singing and the like' while Jaabir (ra) is reported to view its meaning to signify singing and listening to songs. Many taabi'oon such as Mujaahid, Ikrimah, Mak-hool and Umar ibn Shu'ayb viewed it as a censure of music and song.
