This is a great movie - I was super impressed considering the relatively unknown cast and low budget. It's really quite simple, but I think that's what I like about it. It made me smile. :) (Both virtually and in real life! Bonus.)

I adore this film, i'm only 16 but I felt like everything is this film was everything I worry about, missing out on my generation, not doing something with my life, wrong decisions etc etc The acting was maticulous and the script was incredible, so moving, considering i've never watched any of their work (gervais and hte blonde one, feel a bit guilty i don't know his name) this was a lovely surprise

@Lottiebogle your not missing out. this film didnt do well because gervais previous 2 films were absolutely terrible and i mean literally a 2 or 3 out of 10. so nobody wanted to waste their time seeing this. i also wasnt gonna see it. but i did in the end.. and im glad i did! great great film. everything about it. story line, humour even the setting and costumes etc but i only saw 1 gervais film, maybe ppl that saw both didnt want a hat trick of bad films which is a shame, its very under rated!

The Movie is one that is an aqquired taste, you'd have to of grown up in the same town as Ricky to understand it, Its about suburban England and its a dramatization of Ricky Gervais's personal life

Any intelligent well rounded English person over about 25 will find this movie charming. It's simple and unpretentious, yet somehow richly genuine and at times very very funny. There will be pieces of wit you will catch that will elude many viewers (such as the license plate on the Rolls). The cast is strong, and the soundtrack song choices were superb. It's not Tarantino nor does it try to be.
