You don't have to be a physical beast to pound serves. You need good leg elevation, with strong legs and a good technique. That's all.

As much as I want Roddick to beat him, I still don't like him a lot...he's a cocky spoiled "american"...like another tennis star *cough* SERENA that do a few other things besides tennis, the become primadonnas and think they're bigger than they really are.

What is with this "spoiled american" stuff? Andy goes out and plays hard. He doesn't always win, but he tries. He doesn't fake injures like the European players. Regarding outside activities...is Sharapova spoiled because SHE does work other than tennis? Serena is a great tennis talent which affords her the opportunity to do other things. There's nothing spoiled about working hard and earning a living. That's why people come to the US, for opportunity.

Yeah, ok he works hard. But the operative words here are "spoiled" and "primadonna". Sharapova does other things, but doesn't act spoiled...she give opponents props...she classy on the tennis court..AND she's hot. There's no denying they're both good tennis players. It's more of a personal thing with me. I think Roddick is a prick and Serena a cocky sore loser that does nothing to hide the fact.

My comments are based on reality & love for the game. Sharapova is wimpy & mediocre. She's perfected the art of losing thus she is comfortable with it. Real competitors find it hard to lose. And they may find it harder to talk about a loss immediately after match, because they expect to win. Serena gives props and loses as gracefully as a TRUE competitor can. Serena is no primadonna. She's just not your type. Roddick's interview proves he has heart & humility.

I think Roddick's personality really isn't too bad. He sincerely gives credit to opponents when they win and at least tries to take losing as well as he can, with a sense of humor. Serena on the other hand has NO CLASS whatsoever. She is the definition of primadonna.

I would like to say here that Roddick is not 'cocky'. How come he be 'cocky' when he's not been number 1 for like 4 years. He never talks big. Roddick is my favourite player (along with Andy Murray)and I have a bit of dislike towards Roger cos he's always beating Andy - but no matter who you support the most, you cannot deny that Roger is a top quality player, and will no doubt go down as one of the best in history. He's had a cracking 3 year run - respect to the guy.

well its the mentality of new generation of american tennis players..there's no heart..they are just hype and when they dont win ..they just give up..unlike european players..I would say pete,agassi are great level players but you cant put them in same category as chang and courier..they were good players and thats about it
