I will put it this way: This Anime changed my life. Just everythign about it. The exceptional unchallenged music by any Anime there after, to the great visulas and the in depth and fully fleshed out character developement and storyline. It is one of the greatest Anime, no one of the greatest tv shows ever made.

I recommend the soundtrack of Escaflowne. It's pure music genius and the production team really gave it a thought. The music actually defines the characters and the story.

@xeintein In fact, they had the whole storyline laid out in such a elegant and concise manner that when their funding dried up and they were asked to fit 36 episodes into 26, they did so with no loss of quality. The story actually got better with a faster pace and more epic scale (although we viewers got 10 less episodes to enjoy).

Everything about this show was a labor of love from its creators. More of a work of art instead of a commercial venture. Production values like this are sadly rare.

I really loved the OST of Escaflowne, it fitted so well with the series it was perfect, it really made an impact on me as a kid, such a beautiful and well done anime along with perfect music, also the lyrics are just perfect. And now that I've grown up, I dont regret that I've listened to this music, I love my woman just as the message in this song lingers on and the true love like in the series :).
