As an emirates cabin crew let me tell you that we do indead sleep on long haul flights. When the lights in the cabin go off have you ever noticed where most of the cabin crew go? There are normally only 2 walking around due to everyone being asleep. The a380 has crew sleeping quarters..ever wandered what was in the bulkheads apart from toilets? 3 bunks with space to sleep!
Please I want to be able to sleep in one of these lounges when i fly my 8h flights in one of these economy lounges. just please don't make them any more expensive than regular price of economy ticket.

Some of those scenes are so waste of space, as for filling the A380 with unnecessary luxury that brings the ticket price up into the clouds. Waste money on tech. research on comfortable chair design that supports good blood circulation in your body eg, instead of filling the aircraft with bars, beds and all other shit. It's an aircraft, not a fucking hotel. However i gotta love the 747 800 :)
Surely not all of those interiors can go on the same plane. Even an An-225 wouldn't have enough room for all of that! I think they meant by "flexible options" that airlines could choose between the various interiors shown.

She's going to be a big seller. The infrastructure to service the aircraft on ground is already in place. An advantage to airports that are not equipped to handle a A380. Boeing produces very sturdy aircraft.
Qantas grounded their A380 fleet after the incident as any other carrier would until the investigation was completed on the Trent 900 engines, all other A380's that operate with GP700 engines had no problems and continued with a superb performance!
Could you imagine if Boeing was an aircraft manufacturer AND an Airline with this interior AND teamed up with Airbus to create a flying masterpiece.... SHEAR AIRGASM!!!!!!!!!!
This is an out of date (and misleading) video. Skyloft and all associated facilities such as passenger lounge, suites etc were cancelled by Boeing in April 2007 for mainstream operators as a result of lack of interest from airlines and their preference to use the space for crew rest and galley storage. Sales of the 748I are very poor (33) not even home airlines appear to want it.
For all that it looks good from the outside, it has been superceded by the A380. A sad end really
These are the airline equivalent of fashion shows. No one will ever wear those clothes and no airline will waste space on a gym or lounge when they can cram another dozen skinny little seats into that same area. It's called the 'dreamliner' because, unless you're a first or business class customer, you'll only see these features in your dreams. Economy suites... yeah right.

Some of those scenes are so waste of space, as for filling the A380 with unnecessary luxury that brings the ticket price up into the clouds. Waste money on tech. research on comfortable chair design that supports good blood circulation in your body eg, instead of filling the aircraft with bars, beds and all other shit. It's an aircraft, not a fucking hotel. However i gotta love the 747 800 :)

Surely not all of those interiors can go on the same plane. Even an An-225 wouldn't have enough room for all of that! I think they meant by "flexible options" that airlines could choose between the various interiors shown.

Interior might look nice in these animations, but in reality coach passengers will get the usual 17 inches for their butts, 30 inches for their legs, and skinny, useless armrests which for the duration of the flight will be fought over like Stalingrad during World War II.

I mean, can't they vamp up the f%^&ing economy section just a little bit? How about some more room between you and the fat ass next to you? Even the 787 has the same old crappy economy seats. Packed like sardines so the airlines can make their precious money to pay their CEO's 25 million dollars a year for sitting on their ass all day doing little to nothing. I remember when you used to get meals in economy for free on a flight 3 hours or longer, even headphones were free.

@imhamsolo And the meals were actually served HOT and you had a choice between two or three meals. And you could actually smoke in the rear. And the "flight attendants" were stewardessess and were actually pleasant to look at. Now all you get is 5 peanuts and a Dixie cup served by some skank.

She's going to be a big seller. The infrastructure to service the aircraft on ground is already in place. An advantage to airports that are not equipped to handle a A380. Boeing produces very sturdy aircraft.

Qantas grounded their A380 fleet after the incident as any other carrier would until the investigation was completed on the Trent 900 engines, all other A380's that operate with GP700 engines had no problems and continued with a superb performance!

This is an out of date (and misleading) video. Skyloft and all associated facilities such as passenger lounge, suites etc were cancelled by Boeing in April 2007 for mainstream operators as a result of lack of interest from airlines and their preference to use the space for crew rest and galley storage. Sales of the 748I are very poor (33) not even home airlines appear to want it.
For all that it looks good from the outside, it has been superceded by the A380. A sad end really

These are the airline equivalent of fashion shows. No one will ever wear those clothes and no airline will waste space on a gym or lounge when they can cram another dozen skinny little seats into that same area. It's called the 'dreamliner' because, unless you're a first or business class customer, you'll only see these features in your dreams. Economy suites... yeah right.
