@djrollin212 I just plugged the pvc together so parts can be disassembled and because it was a tight fit. The mount came off of a broken tripod and there was a hole a screw could be properly secured into, like it was meant to be. The mount was easy to twist on after that.
@TSRAA Possibly, but I want to refine the design to be more powerful. Any tips? If I do decide to upload a video, I'll make sure to send it to you. Also, is regular string strong enough or should I get something sturdier?
@ReznorRage Regular string is definitely not strong enough. The kind I used was 30 lbs string, and there should be stronger and thinner types online. It was a little too big and could have been thinner. If you want to make it more powerful, you could take some fiberglass rods found at a hardware store and slide them into the pvc pipes. I'm thinking of doing that myself. That idea was from Ivo on The Arbalist Guild forums.
i tried making a crossbow with pvc but it kept breaking the wood because the wood is weak

Two questions:
Did you just plug the pvc together or did you glue it?
How did you attach the tripod mount, like did you thread it and screw it in?

That's pretty cool. I made a crossbow based on your design in woodshop :)
