Recognition that an accent makes a guy who sings that much more attractive. Secret thoughts the singing with an accent may be too much for my poor heart.
I saw DaVinci's Notebook do this song many times and this version comes the closest. Very well done... I just wish they had mentioned that this was a DVN song and that they virtually copy DVN's arrangement. It shows just how good the song is.
@pvreditor Point taken - we should have acknowledged that in the show. As far as I'm aware Da Vinci's NB were totally ok with it, including the fact that it's very very close to the original arrangement. That's cos it's good - as you say...
Admittance of seeing many various performances of this song, making note to point out that this is one of the better ones. Praise for stage presence, and finally general statement expressing my enjoyment of the video.
I've listened to several versions of this on YouTube this evening, and this is the best non-Da Vinci's notebook group so far! Good job keeping things in tune and getting through the modulation intact! (Also, you guys were great at playing it for laughs.)

As a personal friend of DaVinci's Notebook & member of the UMD Generics who's performed this song, yur version was TERRIBLE. I liked the staging & theatrics, good visual perfrmance.. but have u heard of thing called tempo? Cuz it was bout triple from the start to the end in yur version, geez! Oh & watch yur pitch and blend too.. If I never heard the song b4 I'd say nice job.. but i've heard the DVN boys do it & sang it with them & my own group, u guys did nice try but it was rlly bad.. seriously
I can think of more than one place where you can shove your opinion, and the YouTube comments ain't one of them. It's a cappella, it's impressive to simply sing without fucking it all up, and I can clearly see that they finished the song without any major slipups - if any at all. DaVinci's Notebook is one of my favorite - if not my most favorite - groups, and these guys pretty accurately represented them. Plus, this definitely isn't 4 people - blend and pitch will be a much bigger problem.
Complimentary comment, and notice of the "5-star" nature of my rating. Statement of enjoyment of the clip, and congratulatory statements, with acknowledgment of the difficult nature of making a song like that work well with such a large choir.
Inexplicable tying in of Israel and the Jews, followed by several 9-11 conspiracy theories, mostly illegible comments questioning the parentage of the ones posting, then further mayhem until the next polarizing comment.
Expression of satisfaction from this cover, as well as admiration at OOTB's talents. Couch previous statement with forlorn-ness about absence of DVN resulting in overall bittersweet feelings overall.
Correctional comment denoting the obviousness of the group's actual origin in the sidebar. Chastising remark questioning the ocular abilities of the above poster. *verb emphasizing chastisement*
mmm 'british insult' 'hollywood giggle' 'excuse of not having time to read sidebar due to always being stuck in traffic on the way to and from important meetings' 'flip off with cigarette and smile'
thanks for queen and the beatles. fuckoff otherwise. love, america.
Exclamation of great admiration for this performance, followed by multiple exclamation points for emphasis. Recollection of performances by original group, followed by comment noting the challenge of getting the feel of this song right with such a large group. Declaration that this performance met that challenge, and surpassed it. Praise for the vocal and performance skill of the group. Wish for great success to all the performers, followed again by exclamation points for emphasis.
The extra notes in the chords work really well.
Compliments all round

The group sings well together, but none of the soloists are outstanding. With such a large ensemble, they could've chosen better front-men.

and am i the only one to notice that at 2:15 it goes a total half-step flat?
Selsr 3 years ago
I didn't notice that at all lol
Mewkisses 3 years ago
It doesn't, at least, not that I can hear. If there's a key change there at all, it's in the original song (by DaVinci's Notebook) as well.
clubjuggle 3 years ago 3
Yeah. Because it doesn't.

Sounds to me like the chord changes, not that the entire group suddenly goes flat. It's supposed to sound like that.

As a personal friend of DaVinci's notebook, you would be well advised to keep your trap shut, lest those nasty remarks reflect badly on your friends.

As great as the voices and vid are, watching you people converse is so damn funny, it steals the show.

Comment insulting the member's ethnic origins.
A series of 500 comments arguing about the inferiority and superiority of country of origin.
Remark indicating jest, and congratulations on the expert construction of the video.
