  • this was actually pretty helpful!

  • dude the part when you threw the other guy onto the closet... did you just rewind a vid of him jumping from it?!

wow. good video, my german prof recommended it to us :D

    Tschuess as Canada!

  • not quite what i was looking for when i searched "german two-way"

haha only joking!! very useful, thanks!

  • That was a neat trick you did at the beginning, reversing the video like that.

  • haha this is awesome. it's kool to see profs getting into their teaching

  • Awesome. My class laughed and got it.

  • this was incredibly helpful

  • very good mate

  • Everything makes sense now! :O Thank you for making this video!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhh finally!!! thanks!

  • gut gemacht!

  • Thanks for the video!

  • Can anyone else see a video like this being made by dwight and michael from the office?

  • Great video for review...I have no idea how people are yelling about politics over something like this...I digress. Great job guys!

  • 2:48 made me snort

  • Danke schön! Great video! Helped a lot!

  • I thought in German, at least from my German native mate. You are suppose to use the contractions like vors, übers etc. As, the non-contractions imply more meaning to it or something like that.

  • That's where Chinese college grads sleep. On top of a filing cabinet. : )

  • What is the name of the song at intro?

  • @squirrelgotowned

    Durch die Nacht (von Silbermond)

  • maybe it´s nice if you wanna learn german, but im german so its kinda commedy:D

  • Do someone knows how to pronounce the word WechselprÄpositionen???

can I say it something like veshelpgepositionan?

  • @luisuny 'wecksel-pR(hard r)ay-po-zee-tsee-oh-nen

  • @ThePickWick Danke shÖn fÜr deine Hilfe

  • @luisuny

Try "veck-sell-praepossit-tionan" (even hard for native Germans)

In this case the "ch" is spoken like a "k".

  • Thanks for your interesting information and help.

  • Man, I wish I went to that school as those guys pronunciation level is the same as mine... awful.

  • @motleyhar but at this stage of the game...it's not about pronunciation emphasis. It's about grammatical accuracy and understanding.

  • @xman4un This "stage of the game"? And which stage would this be? I assume you live in Germany... try mispronouncing words, nobody will understand you. Only the French are worse about it.

  • @motleyhar The stage that I specified, where grammatical emphasis is of prime importance...generally this is the case wherever languages are practiced until intermediate or advanced levels. And yes...I don't live in Germany, but I visit every year.

  • @xman4un You're entirely missing the initial point of my comment. You're so far off base with your retorts its not even funny. First off. I lived in Germany for 8 1/2 years and I visit 3-4 times a year AND own a house there AND my kids are German so shove it. Secondly, and my main point, is that I would like these guys to be my teachers as they would be more accepting of my american accent than your typical German would. Now, kindly back off with your poor attempt to sound intelligent.

  • @motleyhar I disagree with xman4un, but you are a dickhead.

  • @motleyhar First of all, this is a public post site...so if you don't like the nature of someones comment's, it's obviously too bad for you. If you intend it to be seen by only those who have provided the videos, send them a private message. Lastly, kindly stick your thumb in your ass, rotate and look for your brains which are obviously lacking. FUCK YOU! lol...asshole

  • @motleyhar Wow! Such an affiliation with Germany and you still ask such stupid ass questions! Amazing!

  • @motleyhar it's a public site...get over it asshole.

  • @xman4un lol, asshole... nice. Someone got owned and doesnt know how to react. I love it!

  • @motleyhar who got owned? who doesn't know how to react imbecile? No...you obviously are an asshole for YOU to react both immaturely and foolishly without much reason. Read my previous blogs dipshit.

  • @xman4un Posts on YouTube aren't blogs. Read your posts? No. Read mine. I posted first and you never even read anything I wrote. You just assumed and thought you were/are so damn smart. You know even know wtf you're talking about. Kindly, shut the fuck up and sit down. You have been told, thanks.

  • @motleyhar Whoa! such animosity scares us all! What a shithead you are..hardly what I'd call caliber father material. Bye Arsehole

  • @xman4un I am an excellent father and soldier, something you will never be able to say in your life. Realize that at this moment you were corrected and set on the right path. Do not cross me again or anyone else lest you be put in your place once again, boy.

  • @motleyhar This is pointless idiot. Whatever you think you are, however you toot your little horn..for you to state how "excellent" you think you are belies your grandiose sense of yourself. In essence, you're anything but what you profess yourself to be. "Cross you"??? What the fuck are you going to do? You make me laugh!

  • @xman4un You simply do not learn. You keep beating your head against the wall, over and over again. Do you know what the definition of insanity is? Perhaps you should look it up. Good life advice there, remember it.

  • I'm American and live in Germany. From my experience, Germans care more about grammar than they do pronunciation, because if your grammar is messed up, they can't understand you. Pronunciation can be worked through without a problem.

  • @tomopotamus I am happy that you live in Germany... I wish I did (again). Personally, I feel that you're way off base and ironic as it sounds you need to go off base. But alas, you feel one way and I feel another. To each his own.

  • That sentence makes no sense at all. How am I "going off base" or how do I "need to go off base"?

  • @tomopotamus I assumed that you were/are in the military. The first reference is towards being incorrect. The second would be advice on interacting with your local community a bit more.

  • Yeah, I'm not military, so I do interact with the community. I find it hilarious that you say that my experience is wrong.

  • thanks for helping me study for my final exam tomorrow ^_^

  • What is that song???

  • At the beginning? It is Silbermond - Durch die Nacht

  • yea I went to Yahoo answers.. it was just a lil faster.. no offense though, no tmany people check this stuff that specific..

I now own all their albums =)

  • This is Awesome!!!

  • hahaha,gut gemacht!this is funny and useful,dankeeeeee

  • Nützlich, korrekt und amüsant! Einfach klasse! :)

  • Hey that was really good! Make more please! ^^

  • Gut gemacht! Prima! Ich habe viel gelernt. Danke.

So macht lernen Spass. Super Video.

  • EXCELLENT video, well thought out, and lol @ the swimming pool part. :)

  • Super video!!!!!

  • hahahaha very funny and helpful... thanks a lot, you are incredible!!! wunderschön

  • Learning the purpose of these prepositional differences does prepare you for other European languages like Russian which also have accusative and dative cases used in similar ways.

  • Very good! Helpful and fun all at once. You obviously put a lot of thought and effort into this piece. Thank you! Vielen dank!

  • thank you for this! it has really helped me understand, and also the little bit at the end where you fill in the blanks is really good

  • This coming from someone who is trashing people on Youtube. Now...who exactly doesn't have a life?

  • I can see 2:00 going horribly wrong

  • one whould say Taschenrechner, Rechner is more likely to mean Computer

  • People teaching isn't stupid.

  • how did this deal with nothing worth covering? prepositions play a pretty big part in German - I thought you'd know that considering you're apparently so good at it

  • I've found that people who brag like you are usually completely full of shit. If you knew anything about German you would know that prepositions play a vital role in the language. The video covered two-way prepositions. I would hardly call that...nothing.

  • W00t! It's Mr. Coyour! =D

    Ich Liebe Deutsch!

  • hahaha your accents are terrible. funny and cute, though. :D

  • LOL I noticed their R's are very American LOL

  • We have the same calculators at our school...

Kleine Bemerkung dazu: In my opinion "Schwimmbad" means the whole building including showers, lockers and everything, for the actual pool we'd rather say "das Schwimmbecken". :)

  • great video guys, please keep making them and maybe I will be able to pass my German 3 class that I just started.

  • Omg, this is awesome!!! XDDDDD I keep mixing dativ and akkusativ up... >_O *reviews video* wow, I love to learn like this! XD

Phantastisch, Respekt!! :)

"Deutsche Sprache - schwere Sprache" -> so heißt's immerhin auch in Deutschland! ;)

  • Toll, super!

Schoene Gruesse von Isabel aus Portugal

  • this is the funniest approach I have seen in a long time. I'll definitely use it for my own class from now on.

  • Accents are beautiful things. Where's yours?

  • Sehr gut, Herr Coyour!!

  • thankyou!!!

  • cool video, still dont this german grammer.. nightmare language.

  • wow, this is really good :)

  • Das Video ist echt gelungen. Besonders die Spezialeffekte sind toll. War bestimmt viel Arbeit... How would you say it in English? Awesome, hilarious, amazing!!! :-P

  • Pretty good - more of this please !!!

  • An awsome way to make an educational video while still containing information about the Deutsch language! Rated 5 for the amazingl33tawsomesauceness.
