yeah I see how none of you can agree whether Pink Floyd or Radiohead should play this song, but that's robbie williams on the picture, how fucked up is that?

I really wish people would stop arguing over pointless opinions. Some people like one thing, others like different things. Some think Justin Bieber is the greatest pop star ever - others believe it's Michael Jackson. Radiohead, in my opinion is one of the greatest bands out there today. Pink Floyd was and still is a great band. What a person likes or thinks is just what a person likes and thinks. Oh, and we all know that the greatest musicians of all time is Hanson.

@musicdork4ever PF != RH ..they can't be compared really because they're stylistically different. PF were good at what they did.. psychedelic prog rock. RH are arguably much more risky and diverse, and the end product is not always better, but they certainly have brilliant moments that exceed what PF has ever done. And with OK Computer, they proved they can do 'prog' very well, but chose ultimately not to go down that path.

@musicdork4ever i would place more emphasis on "other things" because technology is basically irrelevant. yes certain things might be easier with tech, but to have the talent and ear to make it sound special and unique is something tech can't do for you. In fact, for the recording of Kid A and Amnesiac, RH chose 'ancient' technology in their choices of instruments. Jonny brought out strange & wonderful sounds using the glockenspiel and an Ondes Martenot! for example among other things..

@musicdork4ever his first album after Floyd 'Pros/Cons of Hitchhiking' was a bit controversial for its seedy nature, but the concept was actually conceived the same time as the Wall was. so you can probably figure out from there how it might be like. Radio KAOS is a personal fave of mine. I think it's more because of the story he weaves than the music ~ although the grand finale is one of the most memorable pieces ever ~ the build up of tension.. It's a concept album of course & well produced.

@ocean686 no i'd disagree. I think they are of the same caliber. Pink floyd released great albums from meddle to the wall. that's 5 great albums. Radioheads got just as many. Ok computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows. Radiohead has a lot more versatility with their sound as well. Great guitar, great synth, great drum machines, great drums (something floyd lacked), great vocals, great style.

PF were ingenious for their time, and now RH are ingenious for theirs. it's all about creating something new and vital, and not quite heard before.. if you know what i mean.
