  • It's bent--even I can see that on this low-res youtube vid.

  • Fantastic video. As a sales manager at past jobs, he should have gone out of his way to be more accepting of your concern, offered to seek his manager to appease you and the other guy... I can't believe he corrected you on a way he worded the same damn thing you said. He's no lawyer. He works at an Apple Store for less than 10 dollars an hour. He's probably never even heard of a Bar Exam. Btw, the Ti-Books did the same thing. The plastic separates from the metal. :(

  • Its the design faggort, if it isn't causing any damage then settle down.

  • why does it sound like the guys voice is like whimpering

  • Macs are great computers, but their choice of material for their computers sucks ass.

  • i think they improved in the new ones.....

  • macs are stylish and nice, but pcs get work done

  • thats so unprofessional

  • dude ever heard of contraction???

  • don't be a little B!TCH

  • bro get over it. I have the MB Pro and when it gets cold they spring up more.

  • Yeah, because why should he complain when his computer becomes broken because of a manufacturing error?

He should just shut up and let the 'genious' get on with his job; telling people it's their fault their computer stopped working.

  • The aluminum on the case of the Macbook Pro will expand and shrink if you use it in hotter and colder climates

  • ppl from the apple store sucks!

  • ps .. apple store are wankers (jerks) , don't deal with them .. they will bullshit you , and talk to you like ur a little kid.

  • i've been an apple engineer for 12 years bud.. the problem is not the lcd panel as such , it's due to aluminum warpage , theres no way to fix itnearly all MBP have this fault.!the metal expands and retracts between hot and cold conditions, adding a double latch would help. but would possibly put too much pressure on the lcd panel and could end up cracking it , but they really have'nt a clue when it comes to realiablity or durablity , the MBP are fragile

  • try the ibook.

  • wait i know i either want the macbook pro or the imac, as an apple store associate, which one do you recommend. PLEASE RESPOND IM COMPLETELY CLUELESS HERE

  • hey Coolerdude44, personally I'd go for the imac 24 3.06 extreme . I have the 24'' imac and have been very happy with it, the macbook pro's are over priced the imac's are better value for money and being desktops these are better spec'd up and have better expandablity options. btw I use a cheapo acer aspire 7520 17'' lappy for £299 or $500! ,they are more sturdy than my old powerbook 17'' crap . and if it gets stolen at that price who cares . ;-)

  • I would call Apple Support with him and file a complaint. They have a tendency of putting the fear of god in the retail store people.

  • ugh... some genius

  • ممكن تترجمون؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟

  • ....I have an iBook from five and a half years ago. It does the same thing. That's what they do.

  • "you paid $2000 on this thing."

    Nope, I paid 2500 + tax + applecare + 1400 for a new display.

    ;)

  • You all suck apple rules!!!!!!!!

  • where's the class action lawsuit? You certainly have rights as a consumer, but this is all pretty toothless. You can always just settle for a refund.

  • thats bs. you paid $2000 on this thing. and you have a right to expect it to be perfect. i'd be so pissed......

  • Apple Genius FTW! Show a completely unedited video, otherwise you are not credible.

  • Ok, TeddyLeper, it's pretty painful to watch because it's a bunch of walking through the store, but here is the unedited version - watch?v=w5hguABs8Ao

I guess it's "credible" now for you?

  • Man, that sales guy totally owned your ass!! You should of been much more confrontive and ask difficult questions and mention the law like the 'fit for purpose' law.

You have rights buddy, use em, OR you should just write sensible but strong letters to all the directors of Mac and address them to their headquarters, that ALWAY'S get's your problem fixed, ditch that middle man sales idiot mate and go STRAIGHT to the top.

  • Yea man my MBP isnt bent like that... that apple guy is trying to say that all MBPs have that is BS.

  • This is a video when I went to pick up my Macbook Pro the THIRD time it had the display repaired. Its from my original blog post here: notquiteleet [dot] com/2007/05/23/apple-refuses-to-fix-macbook-pro/
