It's a business, the bears avoided an expensive player that has above average talent, and the Jaguars recieved an above average talent for a reasonable price, all the pressure is on Olsen to get what he wants for next years contract, it will be hard to evaluate him in a Jaguar uniform, all I can remember is him coughing up the ball the last two times the Jaguars played the Bears. Go Greg!
As a bears fan, this dude is nasty, can not be covered by a linebacker, and has the size to bring down most jump balls. Paired with steve smith, you got something special. Cant believe the bears tossed this guy for a 3rd round draft pick. What a discrace, i hang my headin shame as a bears fan.
I know right...Thats crazy that we end up getting him 4 years later for a 3rd rounder when he's in my mind a top notch TE. Very underrated while at Chi. I wanted us to draft him as well. I remember sitting him my freshmen dorm room watching the draft and thinking we had made a mistake by taking stewart when we already had DeAngelo whom I knew was a beast. Thank God I wasn't the coach or GM. lol...it all has worked out greatly. You gotta give to our front office.
Marty Hurney realllllyyyy stepped up to the plate this offseason, addressing the WR position last year in the draft to get them playing time in a rebuilding situation, and then you get a franchise qb in by far the toughest division this upcoming year, AND giving him some toys to work with in Chuds Offense. This trade was HUGE, instead of showing another year of rebuilding, Hurney and the staff showed that they will compete and their goal is to just win
@220friend That's some big shoes to fill. By the time Gates retires he will be the best TE ever, if he stays healthy. But I agree, this guy has some potential.
Wow... he's really handsome!
