  • aggression is spot on, great lifting!

  • i dont get it why people on youtube comment so much on a lifter like Kroc. What drives them to be e-heros? Every serious lifter out here knows how great Kroc is and how awfull those e-heros are with not even 1 video about their own lifts.

  • im pretty scared :|

  • SMACK MY BITCH UP!

  • where can I buy those bands?

  • @lilze96 elitefts.com best place for bands period. If you don't have a platform to mount them like he did buy their miniband sets and stand on the bands as you deadlift, works just as good. They are very affordable as well I think mini bands start at 12 bucks a pair

  • shorten the bands bro. they didnt give you any extra resistance until the last few inches of the movement. you might as well be doing rack pulls because all your strengthning is your lockout.

  • @dsdflexboy You're kidding us, right? How much do YOU deadlift? You're going to tell Kroc, an 800+ deadlifter, how to train??? LMAO!

  • @liftbig03 While it is a little silly, yes, dsdlexboy does have a point regarding the use of bands. Of course Kroc knows what he is doing but generally you do chains or rack pulls for the top part of the lift. Then again nothing wrong doing it with bands anyways. I think it was a valid comment man.. :)

  • @dsdflexboy if you know anything about kroc, then you'll know that he's had trouble locking out his deadlifts.

  • i find deadlift's harder at the start

  • big head

  • I would suggest tying the bands to the bar with a little piece of rope or ace bandage. Works for me in keeping the band in place so one isn't pulling more on one side. Thats what I do. Also, do you experiment with changing what point the tension starts happening? A lot of the vids I have seen have the bands slightly tensioned even at the bottom, you have quite a bit of slack for a bit of travel. Is this your standard arrangment?

  • LOL @ the pussies talking shit on one of the strongest men in the world, laughable.

  • @dve8692 Thumbs up, man. I wish I was half the man he was, and I'm pretty manly.

  • You do realize Matt is the strongest powerlifter in the 220lb class right? I think he can scream all the fuck he wants

  • @tomn53 Can't do he both? I love putting on a screamo show AND a powerlifting freak show(freak show because I lift a freakish amount of weight).

  • When he THROW the bar to the floor in the last rep... so FUKIN' AWESOME!!

I'll be doing that when i make my own badass gym!

  • This is the single most inspirational Deadlift video I've ever seen, even beyond the record pulls by Bolton and Konstantinov.

  • Matt Kroc is a true Warrior. Pure Rage.. Pure Emotion.. Iron Mind.

but i have a question, so many videos use bands, what do these do?

  • Helps usually with lockout, tension increases as he nears the top.

  • Aahhh, cheers matey!

  • Force you to move as quickly as possible. This has a huge carryover to maximal strength efforts.

  • they create extra tension at the top. in most cases the top positition (lock out) needs improvement. by adding bands you can increase the weight at the hardest point or sticking point of the movement. the bands actually have weighted ratings. after a few months of use you can increase plate weight and still remain explosive. power lifters break records using band methods.

  • Thanks for the response, a very detailed analysis.

So if I was to start using bands they may help my normal deadlift? I have reached a bit of a plateau and need a boost.

    thanks for the reply.

    Peace

  • of course they can help. i have not used them for deads but i have used them for flat bench press and they help you shatter plateaus like nothing you would believe. you should come to t-nation and check out the powerlifting articles and use of bands. i used chains before in the gym and they worked as well but after reading i started alternating both of them. 3 months chains then 3 months bands. got my bench over 400 the first time in my life. try it man. its great.

  • @jinlo21 dude tnation is sick. thanks for the help and thorough analysis!

  • hey its the least i can do to help. thank you for reading my responses.

  • juggernaut

  • awesome!

  • Fucking believable! 5 plates is my balls to the wall max and here is a guy doing speed pulls with 5 plates? Is Kroc human?

  • Nope. I'm analyzing a sample I found after the Arnold and it appears that his body is made primarily out of lava.

Updates will be posted as they become available.
