Tambien manifesto una critica muy original en Tiempos modernos y El gran dictador. Somos afortunados de disfrutar la obra de este genio.

The tramp character is featured in most of Chaplin's movies, he just developed it a bit. I think this is the only film with this particular version, but I'm not sure.
i wondered that too but yes they said lines and in later years when Charlie made his own movies he actually had a script. and the scene in City Lights is in the world record of a scene using the most takes because Charlie would get upset on the actresses delivery of her lines and made he do it over and over saying it would show on film if the intonnation was wrong. he was a perfetionist indeed.

At least one, that I know of - "Cruel, Cruel Love", which basically revolves around Chaplin freaking out bigtime because he thinks he's drunk poison.
It's on YouTube, and well worth a look!
