@DirtyDeck that is same who pisses Peter off too!Peter cancelled tour because tricked on tour by his greedy solicitor! His fingertips are hurting and fingernails falling off! That is why Mike takes him to polish his nails!Dont ask for Peter on tour! They stressed him too much!Solicitor and all greedy people are cause of Peters bad health!Peter is not allowed to live the life he wants! Hope all greedy who are slowly killing Peter can live with them selfs!Free Greeny!
thank you for posting this video... this was one of the first bands i ever listened to by choice (age 9, when a lady gave me all her runaway teen daughter's lps, tyvm) so i got a place in my heart for old FM and Peter Green
I saw Peter perform close up two days ago at then Byron Bay Blues Fest (Australia)and so many things went through my head.
Peter was one of the reasons I went ..... I was front row for Buddy Guy, Jools Holland.
I wasn't aware that Peter was that far out of it and he was obviously being well looked after by the band. I'd already u tubed him a lot, and knew that his playing is slow and quite a few mistakes.
Peter has given me so much pleasure in my life. I'm proud to have seen him play.
Saw these at Buxton on the 18th.Sorry but I thought they were poor. Peter looked ill and looked completely out of it.I felt the band were using his name for their own exposure.I felt cheated. Having said that the support act was very good. Sorry Peter its time to call it a day.
@troopsky Peter has no control of his own resources, is dependent on legal parasites to give him money. Peter loves photography. Once at the Wharf he ran out of film. I said, "You're a millionaire," and, pointing to a store, "go buy some film." His answer is revealing: "Yeah, they says I got all this money, but they won't give me a tuppence." If you knew by one inch how many psychiatric druges they feed the guy, you'd be proud just to see him standing up ... alive. Peter deserves better.
Iwas21in69-I love that Peter Green is trying again and I have no doubt the music is in him. Best of luck to you my friend. I need you love so bad and you need our love so bad. You've got mine!!!
Interessting that the band played some patterns of Oh Well part two before Albatross. Very good. I'm not sure the audience got that though. I did and I was born almost 20 years after the Mac era. Green's music will survive several generations.
I can't see that happening. Danny Kirwan was another victim of that infamous weekend in Munich in 1969, which pushed Peter into habitual LSD use. Denny was also affected, and apart from a few solo outings in the mid-70s, never picked up a guitar again. Occasionally there are sightings of him in London, a homeless, alcoholic derelict.
Brings to mind late 60s when the blues purists said FM had sold out when they released Albatross - Peter responded by saying people would still be playing Albatross in 30 years time. He was wrong! Still playing it over 40 years on and best of all, he's still playing it! Great.
Like your comment 'genuine' friends - probably a reference to N Watson who to me and many others always stole Greenie's show. Sadly I could not get to this. First saw Peter and FMac at Bournemouth front in 68 - with the other maestro guitarist, Danny Kirwan. Peter should get Danny to pick his guitar back up - it's never too late as this vid shows.
How did the one time coolest person on the planet end up on stage withe least coolest.
