the only thing that could make this so much better is if the npcs and other things in the game would fall through the portal like in the actual game...i already did and its alot of fun!!!!

i followed the directions to the letter..all seemed well. but for one problem. NO PORTAL GUN!! i used all the code lines to spawn weapons,upgrade portal gun. ect.

any thoughts on why? I'm stumped.

@cromagpdx *facepalm* PEOPLE he just took a map out of half life 2,and put it in portal.Then in portal he did map blablah_blahblah:).After that he did those codelines so he could get the portal gun IN PORTAL not hl2.This is a half life 2 map IN PROTAL.Not a mod.Simply a trick.

wow if u say its gmod then ur retarded because for one u cant get the portal gun in gmod. all he did was take the hl2 campaign and put it in portal i know because i have done this the only problem is that npcs cant go through portals and the hl2 sound effects that are meant to be in the game are not found

@bkg360 LOL YOU are the one who failed ! You CAN have (ugly) portal gun in Garry's mod. But yeah, i agree with you with the rest. I know this isn't garry's mod. Oh, and I think someone released a REAL downloadable mod where you just have to put the maps and models and with working sound (too bad it doesn't work on mac just yet)

No it isn't. I've never even played garry's mod before. I may have worded it wrong in the description, this is a mod for portal wherby you can play portal in half-life 2 maps. Not a mod for Half-Life 2. My mistake. I'll edit the description

@McWiIIy i dont think you're right it's not a mod for portal to play in half life maps it;s a mod for half life to have the portal gun, portal doesn't have health and suit stats >.>

@david1991rules4life Considering it's HIS video, I'm fairly sure he knows what it is. And so do I, because I've tried it, and it's definitely Portal but with HL2 maps.

The health, suit and ammo just appears after you use the "impulse 101" cheat to get the weapons.

Unfortunately, because it's just Portal on HL2 maps rather than HL2 with the ASHPD, you don't have a flashlight. So the dark sections are annoying as hell. >:O

@ballsy101 its not garry mod its portal you just copy the maps of half life 2 and paste it into portal then show the maplist then there it go you got a portal gun in halflife 2

GMOD is running as a multiplayer game, so the LAODING screen will not appear even there is in the level, this is Portal not GMod.

no this is a mod made with the portal engine. you just need the maps from the gcf. the mod has some bug fixes and other crap.
