acha, i never knew that. i dont know any sri lankan's, i just read that sinhalese was spoken there, and i guess, like bengali in bangaladesh, its similar to hindi. because in bangladesh, they dont understand hindi or urdu, i assumed because it was a neighboring country and that was why. which is why i was surprised to see that hindi is understood in sri lanka. but check out hyderabadi urdu, i gaurantee you, NO ONE understands it hahaha.
