All of NINs albums openers can translate amazingly into a live set opener, but this is definately my favourite for it. That said, I prefer the way they've been playing it on the latest tour, the start of its a bit different, more toned down.
@steverzilly, Fuck yes and amen. Regarding it's placement on the album, it sets up the central tonic theme for The Fragile as a whole unlike any other work I can recall or care about.
Now I'm Nothing is the only other opener to compare to Somewhat Damaged and Mr. Self Destruct. I remember seeing them in Winter 2006, they opened with a few seconds of Pilgramige then into Mr. Self Destruct...real cool.
I saw this on June 10th in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. They opened with Home into this song, and it was fucking AWESOME. Definitely one of my favorites live.
The Fragile is the album that really opened my eyes with what was possible with music. It's probably the most important album in my life for that very reason.
This is realy laod!!. I play this cd when I am realy angry, and it helps. Because Trent is so honest with his feelings. He is a genius, and it `s the best cd ever.
This song has to be my favorite. I wish this would be a frequent concert pick for NIN. They only played this during the Fragility tour, and a few other obscure shows here and there, as far as I know. Again, I wish this would be a frequently played song at their shows.
Makes me angry, alot of people like stab eachother in el back... just to cause drama, to consildate this "Othello" great shakespeare play, Iago is such a bastard but is viewed as a good person. Some people in the world just have that gift garrrrrrrr.
"Far back, off the side, and far away Is a place where I hide, where I stay. Tried to say, tried to ask, I needed to, All alone, by myself, where were you? How could I, ever think, its funny how Everything you swore would never change, It's different now, just like you. We'd always say, "We'll make it through." Then my head, fell apart, and where were you?" My favorite part.
This is compiled from many live shows all within one audio track. The entire Fragile DVD is set up that way, and it's most obvious on the guitarist since his hair changes from city to city...
maybe try downloading realplayer onto your computer then downloading this video with it. find a programme to extract the audio files or if you had some sort of a recorder or a mini disc player that
Its not old band new band. Its just Trent. Those people playing do pretty much nothing in terms of songwriting, its just Trent and always will be just Trent.
don't know what i would give to see this now.... this performance is better than all the shitty pseudo-industrial band of today

He's released three albums since 2005 that continue the NIN tradition of high quality.
Oh, these newer albums aren't 'angry' - They have a wider appeal.
This song is one of my favourite songs. I'm an angry man, myself. Inside my rotten core.
