I have UAC on my Linux Mint, its very nice to have this security, but on vista everyone turned it off. The GUI was bloated on vista too, because they spied on the Mac GUI, but didnt understand how to implement it properly, so everything was thrown in at random.
If you get your history straight, you will know that Xerox gave away for free the ideas of the GUI in the first place. Both to MS and Apple. The big difference here is, that Apple invented further on their platform, MS didnt - they stole all their ideas. Or copied, if you like.

Millions of dollars were payed from tax payer money to M$. That guy did not ask for a windoze license but he got one.
tar1901, I am hungarian, and I never heard of this before. I only know about the university student license. One can obtain it as long as he/she studies at a hungarian university. Its darn cheap (around 15-20 in US dullars i guess). It includes xp,vista and office. I think its a cool thing, even if windows sucks.
That's just one of the deals MS did with east european governments. There are similar contracts with romanian and bugarian goverments. They cover license use for the goverment employees plus what M$ thinks would have got from the pirated software.
I was in a Hungarian restaurant in Chicago, and I ordered a lot of food, including for carry out. It came to about a $100. My Hungarian waitress was astonished, and asked me why I don't just "learn to cook at home"! I should've reported he to the owner. If I cook at home, no business, no tips!
For a 1000 years, we were a slave/serf people; we have no economic maturity or any concept of business.

ironkrz, you don't know anything about this. Micro$oft made a license agreement( after bribes and so on ) with the hungarian government to buy a windows license for every computer in Hungary. Millions of dollars were payed from tax payer money to M$. That guy did not ask for a windoze license but he got one.

tar1901, I am hungarian, and I never heard of this before. I only know about the university student license. One can obtain it as long as he/she studies at a hungarian university. Its darn cheap (around 15-20 in US dullars i guess). It includes xp,vista and office. I think its a cool thing, even if windows sucks.

That's just one of the deals MS did with east european governments. There are similar contracts with romanian and bugarian goverments. They cover license use for the goverment employees plus what M$ thinks would have got from the pirated software.

As a Hungarian, this hurts me.
I was in a Hungarian restaurant in Chicago, and I ordered a lot of food, including for carry out. It came to about a $100. My Hungarian waitress was astonished, and asked me why I don't just "learn to cook at home"! I should've reported he to the owner. If I cook at home, no business, no tips!
For a 1000 years, we were a slave/serf people; we have no economic maturity or any concept of business.

I tool several meals for carry out, not just for eating there. The restaurant was far from where I lived and was not convenient for me to visit. Good hungarian food can make great leftovers!

What many Hungarians have to learn is that you have to have the international law and legalities on your side before Microsoft starts giving millions back to the Hungarians!
I don't question his intentions, and I do understand his frustration; it's just that he hasn't a leg to stand on. We won't be getting 10 cents for this kind of outburst.
