I think there is more to Zimbabwe than what meets the eye Zimbabwes problems are more than Robert Mugabe. It is really sad to see how this affects the ordinary person.
"there is more to Zimbabwe than ...Robert Mugabe."
There is no doubt. Currently popular in the west opinion that Mugabe is responsible for everything is, of course, a huge and deliberate simplification aimed to provide lazy minded people with ready answers to complex problems. Mugabe is just a tip of ZANU iceberg. ZANU party until recently was supported by the absolute majority. We have the phenomenon when the nation willingly has been doing harm to itself for years and years until almost dead.
We definately should. My mother came from Zim a couple of days ago, and she describes a Zimbabwe in a horrible state. The only things experts agrees on is that the Zimbabwean case is one of the most difficult cases ever. However, what we should, and could do is to draw attention to the case of zimbabwe through music and culture. If we could get some famous artists with us, we'd have a start..
omg dis song is just d best!! its jus too good for words!! i luv it so much its so touchin it makes me want to go out there nd spread awareness....jus amazin!!!
In a world filled with bad news, I was greatly heartened to watch the press conference today that had the new Zimbabwean power-sharing deal announced. I will hold a good thought that 'the new beginning' for Zimbabwe brings an enduring peace and stabilty.
I have to thank KamakaTexas for sending me and Cyberwanderer for putting my feelings into words. Thanks annanass1234 for posting. I'll be sure and pass this along.
Your message comes through loud and clear. Great video and deeply pursuasive. And you are right; the people are good people and deserve far better than what they are getting. I will wipe the tears away and listen once again.
Don't know if this makes you feel even a tiny bit better, but over the past few weeks here in Canada (and I believe throughout much of the 'Western World'), events in Zimbabwe are often the lead story on our national news programs or on the front page of national newspapers. At least, the voices of Zimbabweans are now being heard. So keep singing. Hopefully soon, I will have the pleasure of listening to your voice, full of joy, singing in celebration of better days for all Zimbabweans.
hahaha nice one

What an excellent idea. I actually know of one famous artist who I am sure would be glad to take part in this.

I pray for everyone in Zimbabwe the gift of freedom where one can live a life of liberty, and be given the opportunity to pursuit their happiness.

Not sure I've ever heard a more dignified protest song. Very touching. And heard around the world, one view at a time...! Keep the faith!

We try to keep the faith, even though that's pretty much all thats left. Thanks for the kind words!
