I mean there have always been stupid people, but not until the 2000 generation (and especially in the rap circles) did people become PURPOSELY stupid, selling themselves short. Being dumb is one thing, being PURPOSELY dumb is something else entirely.... *shakes my head*...
Like, critical thinking ability, back bone, morals, common sense, and the golden rule have all just went out of style.... Everything has been made opposite of what it means, weakness is strength, ignorance is intelligence, selfishness is free spirited, good is bad, etc. Standing up to authority means your a "weirdo" and your "weak." While society bends over and spreads their asscheeks to prove how "macho" they are.... I feel like Winston Smith in 1984.
You can't spell apathetic without pathetic...... These days it's gotten so insane, if anyone feels pationate about anything at all, theyr ostricized and branded by society as a lunatic... On top of that, kids are being taught that being apathetic, ammoral, dumb and ignorant, is some "gangsta" "cool" standard to shoot for, and any trait at all that leads to be a responsible, good human being is a sign of being a "loser."
