Gillian is much quieter so I guess she can melt into the background, but she's funny when she wants to be and from interviews I've seen Gillian thinks a lot more deeply about her answers often, rather than joking around. I'd rather watch someone give me something interesting to think about then a few laughs and hair flicks. Not saying Alison isn't deep. Also the others have said she's goofy and we don't know her in real life so we can't fully judge.

One, Britta usually wears combat boots that gives her a few inches. And I think they film Jeff/Britta scenes in a way that doesn't emphasize the height difference.
