The straighter and higher it flies, the better, there is a panel of judges, but also lots of little betting rings on each rocket. About 40 or so rockets, maybe one in 10 explodes just above take off. This year only one went into the crowd - gave someone a broken arm... All part of the fun. if its your time to be hit by a giant firework... thats just FATE.
