@sadone29 yeah, she wishes. look, Maria Aragon can kind of play piano, and her voice is OKAY. i mean, these two kids are freaking amazing, and Maria Aragon is good, but just not as good as they are.
what sets connie apart from the others, and one of the reasons she's so loved, is her fantastic personality and how she manages to keep her head despite all of the attention. I've seen lots of other little girls who can seen very well, but none of them are as mature and humble as connie (some of them are quite obnoxious, actually, I can't stand listening to them talk). connie, with all of her talent, is still an innocent little girl - that's why she's special; everybody loves her :)
@mikesbyv connie is not awful..if you compare the two,though i'd better not, connie is humble and sweet and innocent..while koleen's is quite mature for her age and its amazing!! i like both their voices.. i love it that they have different genres and styles in singing.. I LOVE THEM BOTH.. if you want soft and melodious, go for connie, if you want something "chilling" and maturely amazing, go for koleen..
Feel so sorry for both of them but even more so for Koleen - think Connie's parents (much as they might justify - and they do big time to the point of disbelief) push their little girl but say "she wants to do it" - hey so did lena zavaroni or so they said... Koleen has pain in her eyes so so much pain. What do these parents want - a child that can live to be an adult or just their own glory. With Lena she is now long dead but still people abuse her name and use it.

I think that Connie is very cute and pleasant-sounding, but Koleen is more talented. Connie has a great ear for sound and is able to replicate it admirably, but her voice cracks a lot because it can't really handle it. Koleen, on the other hand, has a very raw and naturally excellent voice, and is able to sing in a way that most children her age could not. The two are both good in their own way, but those are two very different ways that cannot be compared.

OK... They are freakin awesome... I know I sing good... But dang they sing better than me and ive got alot of compliments... If only I could see them live... They should keep going to the top love it.
I hope Koleen could be more popular enough so we could see more of her. ^_^ It really is amazing. There are a lot of other superb child singers out there. The problem is they never even get a chance to be heard. How pitiful! Though, as long as they enjoy their show of talent and they know they did their best, they would be gladly satisfied and rewarded. I know nothing about comparison, and would never even dare comparing these singers. If I appreciate their songs, then that's more important.
@jrpolidario You're right, there are lot of superb singers here in Phils.that are yet to be discovered because singing contest in T.V. here are only limited to some who have handlers(talent scout). Sometimes other people have no idea of the auditions especially those who live outside of the city of Manila.
i think connie's better. koleen is screaming sometimes, like the most little singers, because they think, that would be better. but i think that connie is more professional than koreen or courtney king for example.
They're both really good. I prefer Koleen, but I've always liked Connie. I think you all should stop judging their singing talents based on cuteness, it's ridiculous.

Koleen is amazing, and I'm a Connie-fan. SmallAnie, you know, Connie is a lot older now and she's become much better than she was at six... She can sing powerfully and she is simply amazing

Well I wouldn't call anyone who criticizes Connie Jealous. Different people like different things. In my opinion, Koleen has an amazing voice, very strong. I love it.
Connie, it's just something about her songs and voice that is absolutely enchanting. Especially in her songs and performances after the competition.
You can't compare them. They're two different people with two different situations.
Both of them got lovely voices, but Connie sings more natural than ·Koleen. I think Koleen tryes to sound more grown than she is, and this is dangerous for her voice.
the way Connie sings is inspiring, she's got an angelic voice. Koleen is a born performer, but she has a much more adult voice, and at times it feels like she is trying too hard to sound grown up when a child's voice is what makes it so magical, I'm not in anyway trying to tear her down she's got an amazing talent but she's trying too hard to sound older, that's the thing that makes Connie so amazing is that she sounds like a child despite how amazing her singing it.

Both are good singers and very talented. Im also same nationality as Kollen ...thumbs up to her.She sung the tagalog song very well...however Connie's voice is inspiring....like a sweet little girl singing from the sky!...I would love her to sing on my wedding day.
Koleen has a more powerful voice and better control than Connie, but if there is anything I learned through my years in asian society is that asian parents will do anything to make their kids a star performer from childhood, millions spent on lessons and training until perfection.
Maybe that's what makes the difference in Connie and Koleen's performance where Connie is just a little girl who loves to sing, no real big trainings. Either way, both girls are wonderful singers with great futures.

Koleen can't hold a candel to Connie. Connie outshines Koleen by far. Connie already sold tons of records and you are still hoping that Koleen would soon get a recording contract. Connie beat her to it. So Koleen keep siniging but connie does and have the upper hand. Connie has an operatic voice which means she hits the high notes without strainig her voice. Take more singing lessons Koleen Connie is the best and not a whole lot of 6 years old can sing like connie.
Connie had recondition from BGT which does not make her better. Things are very different in other countries, and people are not as easily able to obtain that opportunity.

Lots of 6 year old sing like her. She's overrated. Real talent is Koleen, Jamia Nash, and that little girl from Bejing who sang at the Chinese Olympics, Yang Pei Yi. Whether they had voice lessons or not, (which you DON'T KNOW so don't assume) they can all sing better.

connie's vioce has this unexplainable attractiveness. Koleen is great as artistically and reaching high pitches and wide range. When you listen to Connie people succumb to her pure child voice. Connie just soothes people.

it's not even comparable connie at this time hadn't had ANY singing lessons the koleen girl obviously had and had obviously done quite a few performances (considering the confidence) if you listen to connie's resulting album she sounds more powerful and confident than when she started

I think people are only saying they like connie better because
1. She's singing in English
2. She's WHITE
3. She's cute
4. Her TYPE of music.

Yeah, I guess I was harsh. I like soft voices and sothing songs (which is connie) but people always say 'Omg Connie's the bestest eva' which annoys me to bits.

Well I wouldn't call anyone who criticizes Connie Jealous. Different people like different things. In my opinion, Koleen has an amazing voice, very strong. I love it.
Connie, it's just something about her songs and voice that is absolutely enchanting. Especially in her songs and performances after the competition.
You can't compare them. They're two different people with two different situations.

Both of them got lovely voices, but Connie sings more natural than ·Koleen. I think Koleen tryes to sound more grown than she is, and this is dangerous for her voice.

the way Connie sings is inspiring, she's got an angelic voice. Koleen is a born performer, but she has a much more adult voice, and at times it feels like she is trying too hard to sound grown up when a child's voice is what makes it so magical, I'm not in anyway trying to tear her down she's got an amazing talent but she's trying too hard to sound older, that's the thing that makes Connie so amazing is that she sounds like a child despite how amazing her singing it.

Both are good singers and very talented. Im also same nationality as Kollen ...thumbs up to her.She sung the tagalog song very well...however Connie's voice is inspiring....like a sweet little girl singing from the sky!...I would love her to sing on my wedding day.

Koleen has a more powerful voice and better control than Connie, but if there is anything I learned through my years in asian society is that asian parents will do anything to make their kids a star performer from childhood, millions spent on lessons and training until perfection.
Maybe that's what makes the difference in Connie and Koleen's performance where Connie is just a little girl who loves to sing, no real big trainings. Either way, both girls are wonderful singers with great futures.

Koleen can't hold a candel to Connie. Connie outshines Koleen by far. Connie already sold tons of records and you are still hoping that Koleen would soon get a recording contract. Connie beat her to it. So Koleen keep siniging but connie does and have the upper hand. Connie has an operatic voice which means she hits the high notes without strainig her voice. Take more singing lessons Koleen Connie is the best and not a whole lot of 6 years old can sing like connie.

Connie had recondition from BGT which does not make her better. Things are very different in other countries, and people are not as easily able to obtain that opportunity.

Koleen sings better, but Connie just happens to be cute which earns her some points, and she gets the song choices that everyone likes on top of that. Connie really isn't all that great. Lots of 6 year old sing like her. She's overrated. Real talent is Koleen, Jamia Nash, and that little girl from Bejing who sang at the Chinese Olympics, Yang Pei Yi. Whether they had voice lessons or not, (which you DON'T KNOW so don't assume) they can all sing better.

connie's vioce has this unexplainable attractiveness. Koleen is great as artistically and reaching high pitches and wide range. When you listen to Connie people succumb to her pure child voice. Connie just soothes people.

it's not even comparable connie at this time hadn't had ANY singing lessons the koleen girl obviously had and had obviously done quite a few performances (considering the confidence) if you listen to connie's resulting album she sounds more powerful and confident than when she started

i still think Connie is infinity times better, just the fact that she sounds much more innocent, angelic and purer. She sings with the talented vocals she has. She moves people and stirs feelings when she sings, shes just incredible.. so dont ever compare her to anyone else!!!

yes she Coleen sings better BUT Connie has this what 6 year old ought to be voice color. Voice color is best with Connie. If Connie sings to unknown audience everyone will say she sings wonderful and amazing but when Connie will sing to the same audience everyone will be MOVED and SILENCE.
