Wasn't WOR's Super Natural Theater opening (featuring the electronic music of Tom Dissvelt & Kid Baltan) just simple slides and no moving video? I think this show began at 9PM when Chiller Theater ended but I am a bit fuzzy on this. 9 PM was my limit during grammar school age and I was lucky that my parents allowed me to stay up and finish whatever movie was on Chiller on any given Saturday night.
i remember this opening- it scared me as a kid. Chiller Theater was on WPIX Channel 11 in N.Y.C. However, it competed with WOR's Supernatural Theatre on Channel 9 in N,Y,C. which I much preferred because WOR showed the old Universal Classics like Dracula, Frankenstien, and The Wolf Man. Whereas Chiller Theater showed mostly B stuff like She Demons, The Ape Man, and The Daughter of Dr. Jekyll. Thanks for posting -brings back good memories.
I inow i'm over 50 and learning the internet, but any problems i think i have aren't that serious after watching these golden oldies, when as a kid i didn't have a concern in the world. TKU!!
@143AC Chilly Billy Cardille hosted the Pittsburgh CHILLER THEATER on WIIC TV 11 for twenty years starting in 1962. People tend to think that their movie monster show was the only one, but there were hundreds of regional shows of this type running under names such as CHILLER THEATER, CREATURE FEATURE, FRIGHT NIGHT and the like :)
The one and only WPIX 11 opening for us babyboomer kids. You had to have been born in the early to mid 1950's to remember this in 1961. Building Aurora monster models, playing with tops and yoyos, and wearing those yellow rain coats with rubbers in the rain. And summer days that lasted for ever ! Life was really more 1950's in 1961. A wonder era to be a kid , can i go back now?
The female ghoul reminded me of Angelia Jolie in her 84th Academy Award gown...yikes!!

Is that a flying cow at 0;26?

@TadMoody No I think it is an outstretched hand cause the next scene is a giant lifting up the car and then throwing it.
