Your cam shots needs a bit of work. Why would you waste a viewers time on screen buttons and looking at black for 10-20 secs, or at least I get the feeling of a long time. Other than that your rig looks nice, it is very neat, tidy, and decked.

Got to work on the cam shots a bit more, there's been a few wasted secs of filming. Like why would you use good secs on looking at a screen for 6-10 secs and the screen botton for 5? Might not sound long but it's not needed.

He does have dual 4870's and a nicely overclocked i7 so I think 600 is slightly to low. 650-700 is kinda the lowest.

@tinymouse2 well a corsair's 600w should be enought since every psu they made has about 100 more w's 3 way 4870's dont need more then 400w tops i7 130w and everything else 40w. that's about 580w so 600 should be enought

RAM and the Mobo use up about 100 together.

A stock i7 uses about 125W and overclocking it has probably pushed it up to 150 or maybe even 175W

@tinymouse2 ram uses 15w lol mobo also not more then 50w 1 4870 180w and when they are in crossfire it's not more then 280-300w top,i7 130 if oc'ed hard drives and fans 50w's.i myself got 2 5870's intel i7 920 and lots of hard drives fans and stuff and it's all runned on 600w tagan psu.ill probably be buying 1000w corsair's in future but for him the 600 w is really enought and 1100 is really overkill

My RAM uses about 45W

A 4870x2 uses 180W and give it 20W fluctuation space. My i7 920 uses 175 on average (clocked at 4.0GHz)

You should really be going for 650-700 for your rig...

Just to try it out I hooked my rig (similar to yours, dual 5870's) up to a 600W Coolermaster Silent Pro and it crashed when priming.

Bumped it up to a 650W Corsair and it crashed after 35 mins.

Up to a 700W OCZ StealthXStream and no problem at all.

You might want to buy a new PSU...

@tinymouse2 175 is not possible youd fry your cpu dude my i7 920 at 4.2ghz uses 135 also prime doesnt utilise your gpu only cpu and ram,if i7 920 crashed on 600w psu then corsairs and coolermaster psu are damaged.i tested my setup using 3dmark vantage and futuremark and psu had no problems

@tinymouse2 had problems with youtube so didnt have time to respond my sources are my pc my i7 uses 135w fan doesnt use more then 5w and it's powered by mobo,i got a tester to test my psu bought it in the local store.and you probably dont got i7 locked at 175 coz your pc couldnt even boot with that settings i think the 140-145 is border for i7 without crashing

If so then you won't be getting the right value.

You have to actually poke the multimeter onto the motherboard itself.

yeah i tought so.one more thing i noticed in the vid he doesnt got 2 4870's but a 4870X2 and single 4870 that's 3gpus so a 750W psu is needed.4870X2 is most power hungry graphic card.

2 4870's outperform the 5870, but if you get a 5870 you can crossfire them later... Depends on what cpu you have though, I heard an i7 920 at 4ghz bottlenecks 1 5870.

Huge increase in some games, others are less noticeable like Tf2 and games that aren't very demanding, In Farcry 2 I was able to turn AA and AF all the way up and still getting over 80 fps 1920x1080!

lol I dont know when the last time I ever actually bought an OS, just download em 4 free tbh. Microsoft makes a shitload of money as it is from selling OEM (Dell, HP, Alienware, Gateway, and etc.) which all come with the OS which is included in the price. Pretty much like 90% of people who own computers bought one of those. The other 10% make custom computers (probably even less)
