this was a terrible apology. He had some great moments in which he said some touching words, and then he followed it up with a joke which took away any credibility and sincerity he may have had. Im sure he is sorry for what he did, but at times in this apology it seems like he is just apologizing because he got caught. He is more sorry about getting others involved rather than for cheating.

He's a grown man who made a very bad decision. A decision that caused, i'm assuming, a great deal of pain to his wife. That said, when dave was being extorted he didn't just wait see if his secret was going to be exposed, he exposed it himself at great risk to his own reputation and credibility. We live in a society that has no tolerance for mistakes; a fact i can't stand. He came clean and he apologized, and aren't we, as mature adults, supposed to say "it's ok dave thanks for telling the truth
