I'm a US veteran, as was my father, as was his father before him, as was his father before him...and what happens when I go through airport security at JFK? I don's set off the metal detector, and I get searched/patted down. A Muslim woman (in full Muslim dress), with a foreign passport is ahead of me in line. She goes through. No-one searches her. No-one pats her down. How am I supposed to feel?
@usagoodbyeisayhello you have my sympathies, i have great respect for veterans. it is a breach of the very foundations that western society was built on, that of equality and brotherhood, when a person who is dressed in a fashion that makes it easy to conceal identity and dangerous items is not treated with the same vigiliance by those who are supposedly out to offer us security. the burqa and hijab should be banned for moral and practical reasons, especially in airports.

Some Chinese billionaire donated a few buildings in the last decade, and the entire campus is crawling with Chinese. I ran into one of them (around 20 yrs. old), who was driving a brand-new $30,000 SUV. We met at a gas station. He needed help filling his gas tank - he'd never done it before. If you were to take a walk around that campus, you'd think you were...
