Why not show HD on both systems? While most modern GPUs have hardware decoding of high-definition streams, standard-def MPEG-2 is usually just decoded by the CPU. While I believe that Tegra can do more with less power, you should really do a proper comparison.

why Apple team up with PowerVR for iPhone graphics? :(

iPhone's PowerVR MBX has only OpenGL ES 1.3 while Nvidia Tegra supports OpenGL ES 2.0 (the shaders! : water reflections, toon shading, bump mapping on grounds, etc)

I thought they really loved Nvidia goodness since they dumped Intel graphics last year.

Moorestown is right around the corner, they'll soon catch up. Where is Tegra? You make snide comments about Larrabee being a slideshow product, I don't see any Tegra design wins on the shelves. You could sell millions of this, it's an iphone killer beyond belief, but it's MIA. In the mean time all you market are buggy chipsets and rebadged 9 series, sorry, 8 series cards. I have yet to see any Cortex based devices (which this is too, I think) so it's not exactly anything other than a soft launch either..

Moorestown hasn't been launched and has been announced for late 09 or early 2010 so saying that it's vaporware a year before the earliest release date is quite rich.

Their most recent generations of chips came with the latest shader model for graphics shaders, however this showed them that the amount of maths they need to do, they may as well make little components with huge maths capability. This is the child of that.. looks very exciting for nVidia

I I don't think he's measuring the display power on either as either of those just the main board power.

The intel board looks like an Atom or A110 from the chip die I guess the GMA must use a fair amount of power when playing video but then a typical north bridge does use about 7 watts or so plus the GMA 950 or what ever.

If the entire tegra system including display driver is using just 1.3 watts that is extremely impressive.

That looks really awesome. Please provide more videos, more details. Is it an ARM + DSP based system? Can you have an embedded Linux type OS run on it? Are you measuring 1.3W on your Nvidia laptop including the power consumption of an LED backlit screen? What is the power consumption for browsing the Internet and writing documents? Why aren't you working with OLPC to create the next generation HD-capable lower power and lower priced laptop?
