The thing Donna said about the bees wasn't stupid, although it might have seemed so at the time. I picked up on the reference of the bees disappearing in Partners in Crime luckily...she was making a little aside...ironic? Not the right word but I can' think of a better one...she was making a little comment to herself basically to remind the audience that the bees are disappearing in her time, a recurring theme throughout series four.
