This was my favorite part of the movie. It was a sort of father/son like moment to me. And Jim is SO cute when he cries for whatever reason.

@SableSpike747 I think silver might be a creature based off a dog. Because they are all aliens (except for Jim and his mom), so they aren't really real-life creatures. Just like Captain Amelia was based off a cat.

That one got me through some hard times, and it's still my all-time favorite. This one's beautiful too, though. I just didn't know of it at the time.

I really love this scene. It's deep and bittersweet, but it's doesn't come off as sappy, oddly, like other scenes in Disney movies can. And, of course, pennywhistles are always a plus. ;) I need to go dig mine up...

@raichann He was a breakthrough in Disney animation because of his robotic arm being completely CG and not hand drawn. He's so cool when good or bad. You see him more as a human than alien because he learns from his mistakes and has feelings like a human.

Heh, I'd had a really bad day a few weeks ago, and when I ranted about it to a friend I told him that, despite me being 23 years old, I felt the need to do exactly that. The music of this movie is probably the most beautiful Disney track I've ever heard. When we listen to it,... we can feel the whole emotion of the moment, how both Jim and Silver felt in this part of the movie. ...This movie is about someone's journey in his soul and heart, and I really think that no other Soundtrack could have pictured it better and more perfectly than this one does.

I'm sorry about your mother. I don't know if this will help you or not, but don't allow the music to make you sad. Allow it to fill you with joy. That's how I react to sad music. It inspires me, and makes me love life all the more. I find it amazing that music such as this can summon such profound and strong feelings within us. It's a beauty unmatched by anything else in the entire world in my opinion. A song like this can bring me too my kness, making all the trivialites of life just melt away.
