No entiendo.
Thank you jenni4claire I bought it just now from e bay, i don't know if this is the same dvd but in magnified screen i saw the year is 1979 and he was amazing in this year and i very happy. thank again.
The name is La Gioconda and it is in an opera. I recently bought it at Ebay. U just put it in search either there or at Amazon, and if they have it, it will come up. It's a very good opera, with subtitles in English.
Oh I know! There are lots of versions available but I want THIS one, and can't get it anywhere. Do post up bits of your copy for the rest of us when you can, please, to tide us over til its generally released...?
Tenronmd-You're basically commenting on his timbre which has nothing to the excellent vocal artistry displayed by Pava. So what is your point? You're essentially voicing your preference which has not correlation whatsoever on the artistic quality.
Wonderful...just wonderful. I had the opportunity to witness his final Miami concert. Although it wasn't his best, it still amazed me that he was the greatest tenor I had had ever heard.
preserving the voice is the reason he put this role and calaf out of his repetoire. he was able to sing an extra five years because he did so. he was also able to keep rigoletto, boheme and elixir in his rep.
PERFECT!

I love Luciano´s voice but not in heavy roles like this one, i much prefer him in bell canto and verdian roles.

I like this Enzo for enunciation and general musicality, but actually prefer a little more vocal weight.
tenornmd 3 years ago
He does unfortunately make all other tenors sound a bit crap by comparison, no matter how good they are.

JUST AS THIS ARIA STATES, "SOGNI D'ORATI" (Golden Dreams) is what he has given us, never to change always with us. Ringraziare LUCIANO

Listen to Bergonzi in the London recording with Tebaldi to hear how this recitative and aria should sound.

It's a pity, that he sang so few roles from the middle of his career. He is a very interesting Enzo.
