Awesome, but I heard a version of this that was recorded in the late 1940s or early 1950s. It was on an episode of "Music from the Hearts of Space". I think that the recordings were on an album on the Musical Heritage Society lable and had a couple of Olivier Meissiaen pieces "Fete des Belle Eaux" and by Marcel Landowski utilizing the ondes martenot. I was totally awed by this music. I wish the original recording that I have mentioned here would be rereleased. It is awesome.
Wonderful music by the master, very touchingly joined w/ your grandfather's haunting home movie. Thank you~

I believe the correct title is Fêtes des belles eaux (festival of beautiful waters). Minor detail though... :p
