Ok, ppl don't give me thumbs-down for this, but what exactly is the difference between a fox trot and a quickstep? Other than that the quickstep is faster

@unijade Foxtrot is typically dance to Big Band /Swing music and usually danced slow slow quick quick with each slow consisting of two beats and each quick of one beat. As you can see, the basic requires 6 beats so to end on a measure requires two basics in the same manner as east coast swing. QuickStep is very Fast and lively Tempo Big Band Swing style music. Some music may also be suitable for lindy hop or fast swing. Quickstep is danced slow quick quick, slow, quick, quick.

@unijade Foxtrot and quickstep are very similar in the musical style as both are danced to big band 4/4 time music. The main difference is the tempo. Where Foxtrot is around 120 bpm, quick step is much faster being closer to 200 bpm. So as you can see, identifying quickstep is the same as identifying foxtrot only at a much faster tempo.

Unfortunately shes the worst female dancer left in the show now, however there are 4 men below her so thats not bad. Saw her on IT TAKES TWO this week and she came across as very pompous and unlikeable. Not got natural talent and she finds latin side hard, she just needs to relax more like she does in her confident ballroom dancing. Let it all hang out girl for the latin and stop being so self conscious. You can do it!

I don't know whether his comments about her were racistic, since I only watched this video, but honestly, her performance was the best she could deliver within such a short period of time. You need at least 20 days of practise to perform a dance with the fewest possible mistakes, and she had only one week. Besides, none of the contestants has danced ballroom or latin before, so the pros mustn't push them too hard, it's a reality show, not a world championship!

all u guys sayin Anton shud be fired like straight away dont u all think that it would be a bit harsh on Laila to tell her that shes got to the forth week but unfortunately her dance partners been sacked so shes screwed. Personally i think it shud be treated like an office thing. He should be given a warning and make an apology public or not and the decision should be given to Laila... not people discussing it
