@RKRtheFantastic yes,any professional singer will be able to do it.He is one of the many good singers here, but what I mean is,this cant be called "breathless"! He is breathing in and out throughout the song and you need to pay little attention to see that.Still you couldnt,try for a better quality video.Or even you can watch his latest performance during Asianet Film Awards'10.it is still worse. Anyone who showcase real talent has to be appreciated,not just for the reason that he is famous!

Its amazing how Shankar Mahadevan sings the song. This song doesn't really have a rhythm, its the lyrics the gives the beat.Whenever he preform the song live he sings it twice as fast. I really like this song!!!

it's called circular breathing, you breathe out as your singing and breath in as you are singing, the ups and down in his pitch are based on how he is breathing, very clever, and still a very hard thing to train oneself to do.

you cant breathe in while you are singing. he is only breathing out while singing. he is taking short and sudden breaths in those fraction seconds between the words. if u listen carefully u can figure out. nevertheless, it is very difficult to do that too. amazing performance!!

@Shreetard This is not circular breathing, circular breathing is breathing in through the nose while simultaneously blowing out through the mouth.

This is proper breathing in and out!

dude, breathing in and out.. That's HARD! your voices changes when u breathe in and out, Hard to keep the soor (how ever u spell it) straight. he takes a very quick breath in. that's all. Too good!

Its easy how he does that. I can doo it too but i dont do it when i sing xD. All u do is.....when u / sing or w.e just do it regular and when your running out of breath...just suck the words into your throat......and when u have your breath again...sing normal so u can let it out xD Duhh

obviously he didn't do it in one breath, but to sing this with really short breaths in between and still hitting the notes is marvelous. Haven't seen any1 else every try this song live or in a singing contest or even other singers ever attempting this song
