Feeding live rodents to a gator is an sure fire way for them to have bite marks on the inside of their mouths or on their jaw line. That's fine obviously for a wild gator, but since your looking after a captives welfare, just feed prey killed for health sake. Or better yet..frozen/thawed to pre-kill parasites and bacteria. But I do realize the vast major of gator/croc owners have them for the thrill factor of feeding time in the first place. Unfortunate really....
