  • Great track. but why did PG record this on 2 diff albums in succession?

the version here is from debut "Hex" but they also recorded a slightly slower rendition for the 2nd.

were they unhappy with the first take or did they deem the tune worthy enough to warrant 2 recordings.

its not often i like 2 different versions of a song EQUALLY but then Poison Girls are no ordinary band.

  • Wow! In 2011, I see music coming around again.

  • Where are we NOW??? Should we not be standing up instead of writing shite on websites?? Anarchy peace love freedom and let's fucking DO SOMETHING

  • WTF is the year of this song¿?

  • @1drunkcrustpunk 1979 or 1980

  • @1drunkcrustpunk 1981? I dunno. But I got the clear vinyl/black sleeve LP somewhere. Have to rake it out. Along with me old Crass, Honey Bane, F of PI, Zounds albums etc etc blah....

  • does any live footage exist from when poison girls reformed to play vi subversa's birthday bash in '95?what was that gig like then people? someone here mustve gone to it?

  • Its only bands like the POISON GIRLS and EARTH CULTURE that really kick ass!!

  • superbe!!

    punk anarchiste no dead!!

    Rock cette chanteuse superbe

  • STiLL As F'Kin ToP~FaB & ReLeVaNt As EvER... InNiT

  • sense your own strength...rise up

  • all power to you STEVE RESIN for uploading this without loading this you tube up with the usual obvious banality & tub thumping imagery elsewhere assoc. with other PG & other such rel. you-tubes, as is so often strapped on to the validity of lyrical content in some kind of myopic territorial pissing routine.. as is well stated in this track "Anarchy is this years thing..." - it was then, as it is now... etcetera... Vi Subversa should be listed as this country's greatest poet...

  • Nice one good pics too

  • This puts me in a good ole fashioned stencil'n mood!

  • me too break out the spray paint

  • This song gives me goose bumps of pleasure.

  • ACAB.

  • P.G. TiP'S K'iN ToP-FaB !

  • "Punk" never sold out - those who played with it did. It obviously hasn't died if this music is still enjoyed for its content. Let's get some good music out there with morals and ideals instead of yanking ourselves and complaining.

  • luv me some poison girls!

thnx fo da mutha fukn post.aight!

  • yeah look at johnny rotten now.... its about butter ..... fucking wanker.

  • whats wrong with butter

  • its not the butter, its the fact that the alleged punk, which i personally dont think he ever was, is prancing around on tv and has his mug on posters advertising it

  • is there vid on this i wanwa see

  • We all agree! They were great, shame not meny people got the message : look around ! Prices concerts' and all this groups and easy so applauded : for what ? Love that song and Vi Subversa + Crass always ( but less melodic we know.) Why punk sold out ? F...!

  • yeah! the poisons rocked!! too bad more people dont listen to'em. crass were great but the poisons were musically and lyrically superior in my humble oppinion. but you cant compare bands. everyone is special! peace from the U.S.S.

  • i agree, i could listen to a poison girls song again and again and i would dance. but i am happy with listening to a song by crass or flux of pink indians only once and it stays in my head all day. peace and anarchy.

  • best song by either i think is prolly bloody revolutions, cause they both did that i remember hearing

  • Persons unkown by the poison girls was released as a single along with bloody revolutions
