My opinion is that Metroid Prime has the best music in a game ever. It's one of my favorite games I've ever played. I mean it was so polished, beautiful, and just a pleasure to play. Because of this game I thought GameCube was the most powerful console of the 3. Halo edges it out only slightly, although Diablo 2 is also in my top 3 favorite games. But I haven't played Metroid in some time and I can still instantly recall the music from every level. Loved this music but Magmoor could be the best.

I remembered I rented this game first, and to me then.....I never liked it too much (I was grade 7.....and couldn't pass a certain part).

It was two years after that I remembered that experience still, and decided to buy it and play.

Now 6 years later and bought the Trilogy game, despite the fact I own all three separately. For the (x)th time, I am playing Prime again, and I will never regret that decision in grade 10......such a good call.

@Spack1801 well the first time i entered the chozo ruins, was on my friends game . he already had everything, so i was hunting expansions . so on i go to the room with the huge tree and everything goes dark and i hear a scream and there they are ! i thought everything worked so i kept trying the plasma beam xD then i got bored and decided i want rapid fire action and that's how i discovere how to kill them xD

Every song in this game has its own aspect, mood, and beat....it's not like the music in games today that just suck = / music in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes were always fitting for the scenario and mood of each territory and monsters that were to come. @gamezngadgetz Whilst that sounds like a good analogy, Retro Studios are only known for a handful of games. The first Metroid Prime game was a fairly genius example of level design and mood but I'm not sure that the sequels were. Rare are still the masters in Nintendo's history for Donkey Kong Country, Banjo Kazooie, DK64 and Conker's Bad Fur Day. I always think that the first Metroid Prime game is just Banjo Kazooie set in space actually (that's a compliment to Metroid Prime by the way).

Whoever made the metroid prime music is a god , i'm sorry but they honestly are. Every prime game has incredibly fitting music , all with their own styles ( Prime 1 had ALOT of synth & reverb style drums and such , Prime 2 had electric glitches and whistle things .. , and prime 3 had fitting music for every planet , despite 3's music being a bit more bland it was still amazingly fitting)

Metroid Prime was awesome. probably the best looking FPS game the gamecube had to offer. the controls were a little off because you used the left analog stick to move in all directions and the C stick to change weapons and most FPS gamers liked using both analog sticks (Halo pioneered the dual stick control). as much as this game was good, I'm glad it was improved on the Wii when the Metroid Prime Trilogy came out.
