Actually he wouldn't. The movies are the best movies ever, but PJ managed to turn Gimli, one of Tolkiens most beloved characters into a retard. Really, Gimli's an intelligent person with his own stories to tell, but in the movies he's more or less the humor-element!

yeah i agree with you mate, but in all honesty almost all movies need a bit of comedy as a kind of change of mood from the depression that is Mordor O.o so Jackson chose Gimli (considering he's the least elegant out of legolas or aragorn or... anyone =P )

I think J.R.R. Tolkien would have liked the LOTR Movies and the Soundtracks. (Imagine how the movies would have been when he helped making them!)
