Katyushas, yea! Love those things. Can't wait to play this game, even though I'm gonna play it on 360. Great commentary. Is it just me or does it seem like all the units have crazy range? And are the katyusha rockets any good because I plan on playing as USSR when the game comes out.

@TheUndeadHorde10 Katyushas are really good when in great numbers. The weapons do have crazy ranges. Germans have an artillery piece that can shoot from one side of the map to the other.

@TeutonicJoe that's not that crazy, every nation has that kind of artillerry, it's from the prototype range, and katyushas are effective but only versus light units and buildings, not armored units even if you have like 20 of them, they still won't make them rout

only the experimental ones in huge numbers can bring total devistation.

i always get spam by bombers too , they go unlimited fuel and they could just fly out of the map . is hard to protect ur whole base when they could go everywhere for ever especially in big maps

Teutonic Joe, would it be possible for you to do a nation by nation break down of the units. Like a fly by summary to kind of describe each nation's capabilities? I can't play the beta (I own a mac and was curious to see what you thought). I'm interested in the game but have to wait for it to come out on console. Hey Teutonic, Great commentary and introduction to some of the units. I was wondering if it would/could be possible for you to do a nation by nation unit break down for those of us that don't have PCs capable of running the beta (I own a mac and have to wait for the xbox console version). Whats the best nation?if you know how the hell players build up their long range units that fast they build something that I need 30 min for 5 min

There are 2 ways to get good units fast.

One way is to focus economy and defence 1st and then use that bonus economy to bring those units.

The fastest is to almost completely foget economy and just use the starting money to grab those units.

If you build a base as soon as it is out pop out units. If you didn't need the units why get the base?

Also don't try to get all bases and unit types just focus on 2~3 and get the good stuff for those.

Thanks but I dont get how they get kachusas from prototype factory that is preaty damm expensive.They get like 9 of them in 4-5 minutes but Il try makeing more ambushes

Its necessary to allways get some early defence or offence.

You dont need much. One or two tanks, some infantry one machine nest, depends on the enemy but to get some units.

I get pissed when 30 seconds in game my ally is defeated.

i get pissed when allies drop at game start.....or they dont build a ground force and plan on bombing everything to death....or dont prepare a defense...in other news, anyone interested in forming a youtube vid team. I could use a group of fellow RUSE players for team matches

Yeah i got in one match that 10 seconds my ally droped.

I still managed to kill off one enemy and struggle with the other for 30 mins.

Italy is very bad, in my opinion.

It is the most susceptible to aerial attack, as you have to purchase your Anti-Air unit before you can deploy it. Before that all you have is a $40 bunker that targets Tanks more so than aerial units.

However they have the cheapest cheap cheap super cheap units in the game. They're the Zerg Rushers of the game, basically.

In case you didn't know there was a tournment in ruse beta and the winner was a guy with Italy. He spammed tanks and rushed like crazy.

The enemy couldn't do much because there where to many tanks going all around and he didn't have enouth units to hold them all off.

Italy is rather bad in the late game because it lacks the powerfull units other factions have, so it needs to be rushed and microed to atack enemies on all sides.

But it is not a bad faction.
