Conveniently, it only has an hour hand and it is stuck on the 12. I've been considering getting it repaired, but I don't think it'll be cheap.

"The Second Sex" by Simone de Beauvoir, the "the" is key here, as it's really an extremely long discourse on the treatment of women throughout history. I haven't actually read it yet, but someday.
