@dan3195 Dude you have no idea what you are talking about. athe biggest restriction is to the injection computer and Game buy tuning simply turns the restriction off. You will of course also need to remove the washer in the CVT pulley and the exhausr (if you have a restriction washer in the exhaust, but if you don't do the game boy tuning it will still be slow. The game boy tuning takes it to 100kmh/62mph.

@dwoodsky you mean sr50? an rs50 is a 50cc spors bike with gears also made by aprilia. if so, the anser is no, its not just for newer models, its for all models. I have a 2002 and a couple of 2009s...belive it or not the 02 is my fastest scoot. hope that helps...

How much the Derestriction improve the top speed and acceleration?

Is there negative things? Will it strain the engine and will it use fuel like crazy?

My 2005 factory goes 80km/h.

@dan3195 @dan3195 you clearly know nothing about the SR and/or FI. The gameboy is used as a diag interface similar to OBD on cars. you can pull error codes, and load fuel maps which is where the .6 hp gain happens... would you like to see the dyno results?

go to aprilia forum and read the stickies. if your in the usa anything before 09 was a morini engine, anuthing 2009 was a piaggio pure het.

on the 2009s its not required like it is on the old morinis, however folks are finding it alows the 09 to rev higher, and it also gets rid of the spudder thats common with the 09

I bought it online before they were discontinued. Sorry but I no longer rent it out. If you want this done you would have to send in your ecu for programming. I can set you up with a contact to have this done. If you live in new england, I csan do this for you.

Its no longer for sale. there is an "all makes" diag tool called the navigator TXB (piaggio version) that cost 2 grand but does all the bikes.
