I really don't remember much of Transformers 2 (except for the Special Effects that you mentioned), but it's pretty much the same as the 2007 "masterpiece". Everything that the first movie got right (action, visuals and music) they improved in this one, but everything they got wrong in the last one (humans, dumb jokes) they dumb down in this one.
But I feel that it's okay to like a dumb movie as long as you know it.

Although Transformers 2 can be seen as a CGI porn the character development was better. You get the famous Megaton and star scream character interaction. The movie is sadder. More robots better interaction between humans and robots. I say the only thing the movie missed was a great plot. I still loved this movie and ive seen people who loved the first one hate this one and people who hated the first one loved this one.

It turns out that it wasn't even better than the first Transformers. Revenge of The Fallen was utter garbage. Utter garbage. The jokes weren't funny, the humans were even dumber, and we the robots (other than Prime) were background characters.

The Screwed up thing was I actually felt I got to see more of the Autobots in the film then I did in this film. And maybe I got to see a little more of the Decepticons, but it was pretty much pointless they might as well have just remind as mysterious as they were in the 1st film.
they'll probably introduce the dino bots if they do a 4th film, because if they introduced the dino bots in the third film they would have to completly change the setting, their might be a cameo of them in the next but most likely the 3rd will be about unicron.

I am a CGI passionate 3D artist and I want to see everything that is mindblowing special FX, 2. Hey I thought War of the Worlds was a decent movie. Sure it wasnt as good as the book and it had Tom Scientology Cruise in it; but it was alright. I saw it, I really liked it. But it was not a good movie. I must admit, it had gaping plot holes, terrible dialog and some parts made no sense, they just completely forgot about tons of characters from the original live-action film and from this one.
what would I think? I'd think they're pretty AMAZING directors to be dealing with such shitty material. At the end of the day live-action TF can't be too much than what Bay made it. I mean just look at any of the old episodes, they're wholly ridiculous. Transformers actually SIT ON CHAIRS! How does one get past stuff like this in liveaction? A more respectable TF movie is one that would hardly resemble your old TF series at all.
You accept so little. Transformers could be way better than what Bay made it. MPC is right. Heres an example of something silly done with a connecting story; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first movie.
As a kid, I loved it for the turtles, my dad who took me, enjoyed the story about fathers and sons/family story line.
and TMNT makes WAY more sense than TF. They're turtles who've become humanoid against their will by some manmade experimental goo. TFs are able to TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE as if they're a higher species than us, yet they act so primitive. That alone undermines the crap out of the film, not even the accounting their illogical transformations. I agree that Bay's TF can be tightened up to a better movie, but no complete makeover is possible without trashing the originial series.

It's not a matter of number of humans Vs number of robots. The minute they said that there was gonna be more robots in part2 I knew it would suck, "More" is that LAST thing Bay needs. The movie needs to be all robot or all human. They keep trying to jump between mundane human life and awesome robot life, to both give someone to care about and to accentuate the awesomeness of the robots. If the same tactic is being used in a place with more robots then it will lose its effect.

I liked the preview review of Transformers 2007 better. It was fresher, more attention to the movie, less to the moviepocalypse. I feel like I've already seen this, cuz of the ongoing talk of the pocapyse.

After watching that movie, I can't imagin how stupider the 3rd one can get.. Like why was the Air and Space Museum located right outside a desert? Or why did the Autobots lets the bad guys just get away at the end. They literally just ran off with no one chasing them.

That's a very in-depth analogy about this movie. I do agree that's it doesn't seem a lot about the characters. I also agree a lot of movies now are VERRRRY unoriginal. But I do have hope that Hollywood will come up with something new and better. Oh yeah the animated movie RULZZ!

Hey I thought War of the Worlds was a decent movie. Sure it wasnt as good as the book and it had Tom Scientology Cruise in it; but it was alright. It was actualy one of the few movies I have seen at a theater where it actualy creeped me out. P.S. Meagan Fox is way too overrated in the hottie department for me. Sure she looks good and easy but what Hollywood brunette dosent? Also I dont think she has any talent. And of course she has dated such talents like Brian Austin Green.

I saw the movie last night, and it was orgasmically good. I never thought Michael Bay would be kind enough to show Optimus Prime kicking so much ass. Optimus is my fav character and he was a complete beast in this movie. He owned everyone so hard; it was great.

I saw it, I really liked it. But it was not a good movie. I must admit, it had gaping plot holes, terrible dialog and some parts made no sense, they just completely forgot about tons of characters from the original live-action film and from this one.

what would I think? I'd think they're pretty AMAZING directors to be dealing with such shitty material. At the end of the day live-action TF can't be too much than what Bay made it. I mean just look at any of the old episodes, they're wholly ridiculous. Transformers actually SIT ON CHAIRS! How does one get past stuff like this in liveaction? A more respectable TF movie is one that would hardly resemble your old TF series at all.

You accept so little. Transformers could be way better than what Bay made it. MPC is right. Heres an example of something silly done with a connecting story; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first movie.
As a kid, I loved it for the turtles, my dad who took me, enjoyed the story about fathers and sons/family story line.
It's not hard to try a little.

and TMNT makes WAY more sense than TF. They're turtles who've become humanoid against their will by some manmade experimental goo. TFs are able to TRAVEL THROUGH SPACE as if they're a higher species than us, yet they act so primitive. That alone undermines the crap out of the film, not even the accounting their illogical transformations. I agree that Bay's TF can be tightened up to a better movie, but no complete makeover is possible without trashing the originial series.

It's not a matter of number of humans Vs number of robots. The minute they said that there was gonna be more robots in part2 I knew it would suck, "More" is that LAST thing Bay needs. The movie needs to be all robot or all human. They keep trying to jump between mundane human life and awesome robot life, to both give someone to care about and to accentuate the awesomeness of the robots. If the same tactic is being used in a place with more robots then it will lose its effect.

I liked the preview review of Transformers 2007 better. It was fresher, more attention to the movie, less to the moviepocalypse. I feel like I've already seen this, cuz of the ongoing talk of the pocapyse.
But in all fairness, you had the element of surprise back then.

Damn, I came here being a 100% sure you'd praise the first live-adaptation Transformers.
Turns out I was wrong and I didn't agree with you at first. But as time went on in your review, I agreed with you more and more. Sure the first film looked awesome but it was empty at the end of the day.
I'll still see this one, because action movies like this almost feels like a drug now. Sure there isn't a lot of depth, but I still feel like having a good time.

im pissed at transformers. i'll see the movies when they get bumblebees name right. At the end of the cartoon, hotshot was given powers in the matrix and optimus told him he would be named "the golden bug, granted thats much more stupid then bumblebee, but i dont think that real fans should be paying for this H-wood remake. not just cause of the name thing, the list of robots in this movie where completely developed over 3 /4 seasons of a cartoon it will be like spider man 3 not enough substance
