Either way, Kamal has brough cinema to great heights in terms of quality and value. Without Rajini, we would have lost a huge amount of entertainment. Without Kamal Hassan, we would have lost a bigger amount of quality films.

@uadesi Oh and in terms of SPB and Kamal....Kamal Hassan pretty much does everything. He is a filmmaker who is a mast of every aspect of filmmaking. A guy that hasn't graduated from school lived through cinema and stands to be one of the most brilliant men (of the business) in India today.

Rajini has also worked hard to get his spot, but he hasn't stretched farther than his territory (which isn't a bad thing).

Kamal is the one that is always trying to bring great news things to Indian cinema

@KayWildcat I would like to repectfully disagree on the statement about rajini staying his territory, as a matter of fact his last movie enthiran had him as a scientist character who didnt have a big intro and couldnt even fight. Rajini also tries to do something new and different with each movie, just see the waves enthiran is creating, definitely a new role for rajini. As for kamal i agree he has dedicated his life to cinema and tries new things always, but for some reason

Kamals contribution cannot be denied, my favorite is his role as appu in Aboorva sagotharargal, and I am indeed a fan of him but I would def. choose rajini over kamal anyday. I just feel sometimes kamal continues the tradition of overacting which was preceded by Sivaji, who also was great but definitely overacted. So thats y i compared kamal to the other actors with respect to 'acting' only.

@uadesi Yes, Sivaji does overreact and I have seen Kamal overract in a few old movies, but I have seen the same done my Rajini in the past. Like I said, Kamal presents himself as a stronger and more versatile actor.
