  • why dont they get all defensive when you get them out of their first container? also do you ever pet any of your poisonous snakes with your hands or is that ridiculous question?

  • @radzievicius No because they would bite me...

  • @viperkeeper alright i just assumed since they didnt all seem too uncomfortable with that tool you were using, maybe your hand wouldnt be much different.

  • do any of your snakes refuse to eat eat f/t mice?

  • do all yur snakes have venom

  • @suppasolosis Yes, all 150+

  • r they still alive

  • Do they have hoods like the king cobra?

  • @camyers87 Small ones.

  • Wouldnt housing the 2 Coral Cobras together in the same housing enclosure.Wont they eat eachother? or is it because they are both females.

  • @skullcash11 They've been living together for 3 years....

  • @viperkeeper Oh didnt know that.Saw them come in diffent containers thought from the same guy didnt know that.lol Explains alot :D.

  • @viperkeeper do you have a coral snake

  • @davidserrano9 No, they usually die in captivity

  • @viperkeeper ok

  • sweet! i have a thng for snakes. two girls and a boy for trade.

  • Probably the most beautiful snake i have EVER seen....

  • 11:45 are you sure it is just water?

  • were these first two shedding or is this natural color?

they are cute yes, their manners need a bit of work. Got yourself some good ones this time, Al

  • @Truthseeker4449 Natural

  • yes she was very beautiful ..

  • SPETTACOLARE!!!

  • Hi viperkeeper,

Before I ask the question, I want to apologize if this has been answered already. I was just wondering what's that gray cylinder thing on the right side in the substrate at 14:20?

I've looked through a lot of the comments and didn't see any discussions on it. I don't think I've seen that before in any of your videos...I hope it's not just poop. :)

    TIA!

  • @MACingyouup Thermocouple

  • did you put any hids and plants in

  • they are beautiful cobras

  • these are beautiful looking coral cobras

  • is the boy about to shed

  • @jdrag13 Yes, but it's very small

  • do u haave any non veanomus snakes?

  • @xximpacts2cks No, watch my video 'many questions answered.'

  • Did I MISS this video before? I don't think I've seen it until just now.

Excellent as always. This is Vern in Thailand, I have started a ThailandSnakes screenname to go with the site of the same name. Just so you don't get confused from now on - I'll be on this screenname when leaving comments on viperkeepers channel from now on. Cheers! When are you coming to Thailand by the way?

  • @thailandsnakes Guess you did Vern

  • Have you ever been bitten by one of these?

  • @overlord002 Yes, painful for a few days but not much more.

  • I am curious,viperkeeper..What led you to take up this hobby?

  • @dakinisister Always loved snakes

  • @viperkeeper me too

  • viperkeeper your amazing, all the venomous snakes you have its really cool (but dangerous)

  • Hey Viperkeeper I had a serious question because I can not find any care sheets and good information on them the one thing I wanted to know is, they are not a spitting cobra by no means correct? From what I have gathered I did not think they were a spitting cobra but just can not find anything about them.

  • @Tech5387 They are non-spitters

  • Love this video!

  • All coral snakes are related to the Cobras!

  • ive noticed in the videos including this species that they are placid, is it just your snakes or the species as a whole?

  • @IsInTFbAwEsOmE They react to me thay way since they recognise I mean them no harm. You go into my snake room and they will not be so placid.

  • Have you had much trouble feeding these snakes on frozen-thawed? Do you have to prime them with a lizard or can you entice them with the "mousey dance"? Thanks in advance. great show and great information!!

  • @ThBonesandRoses No, the female ears anything, the male really likes Quail Chicks

  • the snakes are going to escape and bite you then all the venom mix togather are going to killed you, because you forgot to luck the door

    lol just saying looky there

  • I love how you talk to your scaley babies!

  • how poisonous are they? is their bite deadly? as i heard its not deadly but pretty nasty...

  • @7muktar They are not poisonous at all, they are venomous though....painful bite but not lethal.

  • @viperkeeper aha... and what are the sympthoms after the bite? i recon hard breathing and local lamness coz its an elapid...

do you have to be provided with antivenom? or is there no big problem (with big problem i mean damaged organd or something like that) if you have no antivenom?

  • @7muktar There may or may not be respiratory symptoms. Pain & swelling that's about all. No A/V exsists.

  • i've heard coral cobra bites are rare because they have poor eyesight

  • Well one of mind had Lasix, she found my finger no problem

  • @TheDisrobedwarrior I would not count on bad eyesight, they seem to see just fine.

  • @viperkeeper my friend keeps venomous snakes and he told me that but i guess it was just his coral cobra

  • I am a great Fan from Germany!!!!!!!!!!

    Respect

I have some Viperas ,Agkistrodons and Sistrurus spc.

    greeeeettz

  • Hello...thanks :-)

  • HEy Al,

I read that there isn't any antivevin for these, this one guy who was bitten by one said all that happened was swelling and pain. If one bit you is there anything specific you would do or just wait it out?

  • Been there done that...consult MDFR and wait & see

  • can they hood up

  • yes, they have small hoods

  • Hi, I'm from Germany.

I'm going to buy myself two girls of them (they're in the same size).

I heard that they would eat other snakes, can they be cannibalistic and eat other Coral Cobras?

  • Yes, so make sure one is not bigger than the other and keep them well fed.

  • Whats their venom like? How toxic is it? How does it compare to the neurotoxins of other cobras?

  • Can cause flaccid parlysis but gennerally mostly pain & swelling

  • ive kept a coral snake for a few weeks when i found a half starved one in the winter. even back at full health she was calm and unaggressive. to bad corals cant be kept to well for long term. this cobra is beautiful!

  • How many did you get?

  • 2.2

  • how much did they run your wallet

  • what brand of cage are they in . i notice all your expensive vision cages but these are in different brand right?

  • precision cages

  • Nothing..not required in this state.

  • is she still friendly viperkeeper

  • Yes

  • I have never eaten Coral Cobras how much do they go for? send me a PM

  • Ohhh man, That is such a pretty snake!

  • i find the boomslangs intresting

  • hi al, i love these little beasts. have you kept coral snakes before? i hear they are quite tricky to keep in captivity. nice looking little snakes thow. be safe mate.

    gary

  • No because they don't survive long in captivity.

  • i have a question to ask you i have a balled python it has shed though but i cant get some of his shedding off his eye how do i get it off

  • Try duct tape

  • hey vipkeeper, send me a personal message

  • i subbed sub back please

  • are coral cobras quite small?

and here is an ask viperkeeper question - any snakes you have that you dont like or dont like keeping?

  • Compared to what? King Cobra's

  • just quite small in comparison. i guess i would consider anything under 4 feet small 4-8 feet moderatly big and 8 foot+ big

  • What handsome specimens! I like these little guys! Your choice of substrates is top notch. They seem to really like that crushed walnut.

  • are false water cobra's very venomous

  • FWC's have very toxic venom, however, their delivery system is not efficient.

  • do they have hoods like normal cobras? or are they not really like normal cobras?

  • They hood.

  • Hi Al,

I'm gettin my own little female Aspidelaps lubricus lubricus tomorow morning... Can't wait to see it...

  • Very cool Alex...

  • check out a video called COUNTER-OFFENSIVE ON HR669 (MUST SEE) by THEEMUFFDADDY.

It talks about a new bill called HR669

If this bill is passed not only will it ban parrots reptiles and ferrets but it will ruin the economy even more.

Help out, watch the video and copy and paste this comment on other videos to help the bill NOT pass

  • Yes, I know all about it.

  • just advertising dont block me or anything

  • Just don't turn this into a spamming issue.

  • No, they are very difficlt to keep alive in captivity.

  • oh man...you gotta breed the first female with the 3rd male. beautiful...esp in HQ

  • Those two are siblings

  • Just tell them they are in Alabama if they object LOL

  • Beautiful animal you have !!

  • Are those BARRS cages that have the coral cobras in? if so, are they pretty good? i was thinking about buying some of them

  • No, Precision Cages

  • so they are cobras that burrow?

  • They tunned through loose soil and substrate. They don't live in a burrow like a mouse would.

  • i never knew that the snake-charmers did those kind of thing...im glad that it was banned

  • thank you for doing this vid

  • hello im just curious do you have any olive green snakes :O

  • I don't keep non-venomous

  • all your snakes are venomous?!?!

  • What did I say above your question.

  • could u find one in the wild or r they more like the snakes that u will only see if u breed them. like a pied ball

  • That's how wild specimens look like.

  • Al,

I just got a rodentpro order and I was wondering how much you spend per year on your collection. Then I got to wondering if you ever thought about an adopt a hot program - like zoos "adopt "animals to sponsors. We could pay to defray the costs of keeping our favorite hot and get a video update now and again.

  • It's not the feeding that gets expensive, only about $100/ month. It;s the damn electrical bill $300 to $400 per month in the WINTER. Twice that in the summer.

  • hey when did uget into venemous? and what was ur first venemous? (just for informational purposes only)

  • 16

Local venomous Timber R/S & Copperhead

  • I know this may seem like a silly question, but can spitting cobras bite too? I've never encountered one so I have no idea.

  • Yes, of course.

  • She is very beautiful.

  • gorgeous snakes i would like to own one in the future

  • great video love the snakes

  • Hey Al,

Hot snakes, as always. What was the black thing on the substrate in the beginning of the video when you placed the first snake in?

    Just curious :)

Always look forward to Saturdays to see your vids!

  • It's the sensor for the thermostat

  • your awesome man!!

  • Not really but the snakes are!

  • Well both, I love snakes and I love the way you take care of, and care about your snakes.

    Keep up the great work

  • Do you have both venomous and non venomous snakes??

  • Only venomous

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong. The boa you had you were just sitting for someone else?

  • Yes

  • what's with the newspapers?

  • I didn't pack them. It's one way to give them cover and not have them bounce around.

  • ahhhh...thanks for the reply!

  • Hi Al. Firstly thanks for all your videos there very helpful and informative.

I'm from the UK and the only native venomous snake we have is the Common Adder (Vipera berus). I was wondering if you have ever had one in your collection? If you have one at the moment I would love to see a video.

    Thanks again.

  • Since they are a protected species they are not very common here, seldom in Zoo's even.

  • It is also very difficult to maintain vipera berus in captivity, except keeping them in an outdoor enclosure.

  • Stunning animal - my next snake definitely!!

  • Al, just wondering what video editing program you use. :)

  • hay al whare do you buy you snakes from

  • hey al......"Spondalosis" is probably what my friend's garter snake died from. I cought her and gave HER to my friend and she had a bump like that..Thanks for letting me know thats a sign on spondalosis :/.

  • very sweet. awesome bright colors

  • hey al would you recomend a false water cobra as a 1st hot

  • Get a amazon tree boa or something of the sort to learn to get the hell out of the way lol. People often say copperheads are often good 1st hots because they dont always have a bad temperment and their temperatures arent complicated. Hope this helps.

  • "Careful Bud, she'll eat your ass" LMAO... Very very very nice snakes. Hope the female with the lump will be O.K.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL .......Careful bud.....LOL

  • unreal new snakes!!

  • great looking snakes

  • Crushed walnut substrate, nice!

  • Oh wow! Love the new critters.

  • Another great video Al !

Aspidelaps have allways been one of my favorite critters.

Keep an eye on them, and keep them well fed. Those females are plenty big enough to eat the males, and they are bad about doing that.

    Best Regards

    John Z

  • Thanks John

  • They were not shipped

  • Beautiful snakes!

  • once again amazing footage Al !

  • one of my all time favorite snakes, they are so cool.good luck with them Al,

be carefull in placing them togeheter,

i have cannibalism with these guys in the

    past

    greetz

    dave

  • Thanks for the info...

  • Al,

Thanks for all the great vids. I find myself living vicariously through you. I was just wondering if you have ever done any work with Bushmasters. I was exposed to them for the first time at the Cape Fear Serpentarium in Wilmington, NC. Such a beautiful snake.

  • That big female sure likes that camera. Im ready for my close up mr. coritz!

  • How come she doesnt have a hood like other cobras

  • Could it be she is not a "true" cobra? Aspidilaps vs Naja

  • Gotcha please remember i am not as knowledgable as you when it comes to venemous snakes.

  • Sorry..What seems obvious to me is not to others.

  • i think these could well be one of if not the most beautiful looking snakes i've ever seen, seem quite inquisitive rather than hissy like some of the other cobras i've seen in your videos. Congrats

  • The first female looks very friendly and very cute.

Shes like what ya got there can I see it lol. Awesome colors too.Keep them coming.

  • Gorgeous! Hey, if I was that male, she'd be worth dying for! Hope that other female is going to be okay.

  • lol you got lucky there at time code 12:53 lol stay safe! i dont know what i would do with out your videos!

  • Lucky...it was not a serious effort to bite...It was all bravado
