When a group of people are demanding the right to be beyond critique, then you have a very serious problem brewing. Oddly enough none of the examples you provide actually have any significant impact. Natives in canada are exempt from paying taxes on crown land, and the 'quota' system was set in place because people were paying more attention to someone's skin color then their resume. In a court of law, they are both equal, and have the same right to inherit, and seek justice as anyone else. As for musim women, they are the largest propoents of doing away with islamic law I know of.

When a group of people are demanding the right to be beyond critique, then you have a very serious problem brewing. As things sit, Islam is at present trying to outlaw people speaking about against the abuses of religion. This is as large a problem as one could ask for in a democratic country. Oddly enough none of the examples you provide actually have any significant impact. Natives in canada are exempt from paying taxes on crown land, and the 'quota' system was set in place because people were paying more attention to someone's skin color then their resume. In a court of law, they are both equal, and have the same right to inherit, and seek justice as anyone else. As for musim women, they are the largest propoents of doing away with islamic law I know of.

Communist governments were scared of religious people because of there deep belief in god and not in a government body as a result were massacred by the likes of Stalin... governments have murdered more people than all of the religious conflicts combined..

Cursed and murdered you mean right? Just look at Palestine right now. All that is because of religion. There have been countless atrocities committed in the name of one god or another. Speaking of stalin, his government was a much a religion as any before or after, only HE was the god. Only when man is free from an unchallengeable authority does it truly flourish.

The palestine conflict has more to do with politics than religion... communist's are scared of religion because religious people dont pledge allegence to government and have a belief in god and religious priniciples... the US constitution is based on judeo-christian values... it is in my opinion the bible of how to run a free libertarian society...

Major territorial claims over land in much of the middle east is due solely to religious claims. Much of the violence stems ether from these land claims, or from claims the people being killed are subhuman because they don't belong to the correct religion. Again you cite religious principles, which have resulted in torture, murder, rape and genocide throughout the centuries. Would you like me to start citing the crimes against humanity found in the bible?

Once agian if you look at the last century, it was not religious conflict that killed the most, not even close... it was governments that were killing murdering raping looting and commiting mass genocides in the millions NOT religion... From Hitler to Stalin to Moa Tsu Tung to Pol pot, etc, etc they were leaders that convinced their people that they were devine and would lead them to glory...

It was governments, acting LIKE religion. Claiming the right to control the very thoughts of the populace, and setting themselves up as gods. All the leaders you name mandated a form of worship of the state and themselves, rising above critique or review, just as the followers of any religion ask I grant them. Odd how science and enlightenment can only function well under review, and these others demand to be free of it.

As soon as anyone is allowed to be held accountable to god, and not to their neighbors terrible miscarriages of justice are just around the corner. Religion must never be allowed to rule anyone is any country I live in, and any time they try, I'll be doing my best to make sure it is never permitted to happen.

Most westren countries are democracies and not republics like the USA... so if there is ever a majority where they prefer islamic law or any other type of law over the current ones than they will rule over the land... democracy is just mob rule of the majority, a republic guarentees the rights and freedoms of every citizen regardless if they are in the majority or minority groups...

Really? cause your relgion created the word assassin as a derivative of the name of the drugs you used to dope the poor up on to trick them into going to murder someone. People motivated by your religious principles routinely murder to mutilate their female relatives when they try to take control of their own lives. They also blow themselves up killing men, women and child, some of whom even share their religious principles.

Hate? In which line or statement I have made was any act of violence condoned or sympathized with? Have I ever suggested once, or pointed to any writing I lead my life by which espoused hate, or violence towards another? I can't say I have. You however HAVE done this. You claim a book which demands total and unconditional submission of your very thoughts is the only way to freedom, which were the very words people like Stalin would use. While I may be biased, I am not hateful.
