  • I think i may not see the same scenes even if I have the chance to go to Patagonia, Chile because of the effects of climate change. More people should watch this video and take action!

  • NASA website: global annual, temperature anomalies for the last decade. year temp-anomaly 2001 0.59 2002 0.66 2003 0.68 2004 0.63 2005 0.82 2006 0.75 2007 0.78 2008 0.59 2009 0.64 Does this look like a warming trend? If you don't like this data, complain at NASA.
  • how do you like the -3C in Canberra in august of 2010?

  • @judomagyar Proof of climate change and warming of the earth goes beyond the variations in local weather of individual cities or even regions. If the weather fluctuations seem more extreme nowadays in any one place, climate scientists are studying and researching to link that phenomenon to man's growing footprint on the earth.

Well here is a paper that is much better than the Al Gore crap.

"Cosmic rays and climate" by Jasper Kirkby

    CERN Colloquium, 4 June 2009

Also, the Antarctic Ice is growing!

CO2 footprint is irrelevant. It is what the Sun is doing what counts.

  • @judomagyar From NASA webpage: Gravity data collected from space using NASA's Grace satellite show that Antarctica has been losing more than a hundred cubic kilometers (24 cubic miles) of ice each year since 2002. The latest data reveal that Antarctica is losing ice at an accelerating rate, too. How is it possible for surface melting to decrease, but for the continent to lose mass anyway? The answer boils down to the fact that ice can flow without melting.

    Google this:

"Global Warming Protects Antarctic Sea Ice — But Not For Long"

Here they state that then Antarctic sea ice has grow to 3rd largest on record this year. But don't despair they already found a way to blame it on global warming. :-)

  • Short and to the point with the abrupt cut-off for artistic effect...poignant!

  • Awesome video! We should do our best to protect the environment and let our children and grandchildren to see those spectacular scenes.

  • I keep an open mind regarding climate change. However, your video has kind of swayed me to believing that glaciers are retreating due to global warming,

  • Great visual story about an important global environmental problem.

  • You have presented a very convincing, though short video on the subject. Thanks!

  • Awesome...you have a great eye!

  • This is definite proof of global warming. Great Video!! The cutting shot of the music is very artistic, it implies the glacier's life will be shortened.

  • Very vivid pictures, absolutely educational video, thanks for sharing, tranvelking111!

  • Beautiful pictures, and such a reminder of global warming. The poetry was as good as usual.

  • Very alarming how fast it is falling apart. pictures are fantastic!

  • This a very educational video. It tells us that it is time for action on global warming!

  • You are so right, xychen! Thank you!

  • what an impressive slides. We should prepare for the environmetal crisis. It is critial for us and our descents as human being.

  • beautiful pictures! they are really awesome

  • Stunning photographs, in Florida we often forget the fragility of the polar regions

  • For sure, I don't doubt global warming. With regards evidence and Antarctica, you cannot debate against 50-100 years of ice core records, bore-hole measurements and station observations!

  • What a marvelous presentation! The captivating beauty of the four glaciers shown and the impending doom of the hanging glaciers...the briefness of the music.....a very strong message!
