What a loser. Oh no! I slammed my head into someone else. Big friggin' whoop-di-doo. Learn real swordsmanship and see how often you get slammed about and you might not even have armor.
@Cstrife234 and what the hell do YOU know about "real swordmanship". Nothing. By the way, this is sport fencing--you've heard of sports, right? Such as Kendo... sport karate... soccer...
If you lost 2 teeth from me punching you in the face... you'd probably need a moment. Which is what Zalomir took--a moment.
@Cstrife234 Real Swordsmanship? It seems you have a misunderstanding of the word. It is more than swinging a sword around, ask anyone who actually practices any kind of swordfighting art. I saw real swordsmanship practiced there when his opponent checked on him to see how he was doing.
@Cstrife234: The second Occhiuzzi realized that Zalomir was hurt, he ran over to check on him; and before anyone else had even figured out what had happened, he was already calling for a medic for his fallen opponent. THAT is real swordsmanship, real sportsmanship, and real honor.
Compare that to little Davey from Chicago, who laughs at (someone else's) pain and is only a pro at wanking.
There is a lesson that could be learned here, about honor and respect, if you are smart enough to get it.
@MichaelSwg: Zalomir's jaw was swollen and he lost two teeth because of that hit. I'd wanna see how you'd react to that kind of blow, you f-ing moron!
During the 1982 World Championships in Rome, Smirnov was fencing Matthias Behr.Behr's blade broke during the action. The broken blade went through the mesh of Smirnov's mask, through his eye orbit, and into his brain. Smirnov died nine days later.
it isn't pleasant at all what happend there. For sure is not a reason of jokes or laughings. This kind of accidents are happening not so often ... most tragical one was in 1982 World Championships in Rome
"These are the only injuries we see in fencing..." Tell that to the people who have died whilst fencing.

@Cstrife234 the mask is designed to deflect/block hits, not reduce the impact. It would've been the same a getting punched in the face
