ero un bimbo di 7 anni quando lui lasciava questo mondo.ben dopo avrei apprezzato il personaggio che è.non sono napoletano e neanchè mi intendo di poesia. però mi sento ancora sollevato da terra dopo aver visto recentemente per la prima volta il postino. è stato un viaggio tra l'emozioni che penso solo una poesia,o qualcosa a essa molto vicino, possa trasmettere. sono davvero rimasto affascinato da tanta purezza. solo guardando la vita è bella ho provato così tanta passione.è stato come volare!

Yeah, the voiceover is a distraction. I've never seen the movie. I guess I should, huh? But I've loved the film score for years. I think  America is incapable of making films like Cinema Paradiso, Life Is Beautiful and Il Postino. For that alone we should celebrate the diversity the world gives us.

This movie is one of the best movies ever made. "Leaving Las Vegas" soul cheap. And if you compare it to "il Postino" it's cheap, low grade movie. Cage is actor with a few clichess he uses from one movie to another.Oscar is all about money not about ART! fist was stupid "Shakespear in love" now "Black swan"

Although Nicholas Cage did a pretty good job on Leaving Las Vegas, all I can say is that Massimo Troissi was robbed for that Oscar, easily. Of course, he was not "made in America". The Academy rectified the mistake some years later by awarding Roberto Begnini (and well deserved) for his incredible masterpiece that is Life is Beautiful.

i don't like the film editing so much because you can see beatrice's mother say "maronna!" twice..

moreover mario, the postman, fell in love with beatrice during the film and not "for years he loved beatrice"..anyway find and watch this film, it's extraordinary..bye, massimo, great actor :)
